in the nhl if you break someone's leg or neck you get a few games, but if you say "sloppy seconds" then you are banned. pretty fucked up, but i don't think that hit posted would have gotten a suspension unless someone the league doesn't like was the person delivering the hit. hits like that, umberger, kapanen, kariya, etc. are great examples of why you need to keep your head up especially at a pro level.

i hiked my ass all the way to freaking new jersey to watch my avalanche play like a bunch of bitches. ugh so not entertaining. now onto the rangers on saturday, if i experience the same thing at msg i'm gonna be an angry woman

the game will go 2 ways:

1) the rangers will dominate nearly the entire game scoring only 1 goal and then the avs will score 2 late and win.

2) both teams score only 1 goal and it goes to a shootout

Boring game against the sens but a win. Habs tomorrow. Jay has to go and get banned...

maybe now he's learned a lesson not to show his private parts in public...i personally did not witness but i heard things. either or my money if i were betting would be with the sharks. they are such a regular season team...sorry L.E.N. come Playoffs they will chock like always ALTHOUGH i do give it to you, your team will make the Playoffs mine will just suck and hopefully draft well

i got ridiculous tickets for tomorrow. if there is a shootout i will flip my shit. i am so god damn tired of fucking shootouts. 75% of the games i attend go to shootouts. i've got people to meet at a bar right after the game and ferry corsten a couple hours later i got no damn time for a fucking shootout.

Im far from cocky about the sharks post season. I still think they need to tighten it up if they want to get to the cup. If they blow it with this team then I dont know how they would ever get there. After 8 years of always going to playoff and not making the big dance is getting fuckin old.

honestly i would like to see them go far. it is their time to make a significant showing during the Playoffs. personally i cannot wait until the Playoffs begin, hands down the best hockey you see all season.

Yep. What sucks is that the NHL cracked down on all those great online hosts for games. I was going to ride out my regular season Center Ice plan and watch the playoffs online and whatever is televised.

playoff hockey used to be so awesome when teams like philly (old style) and toronto made it and the refs would actually let the teams play. games would be all out war and 5 ot, but now bettman makes sure only the refs that call thousands of penalties make it, and it turns into a special teams fest. you'll still see a hard check, but playoff hockey just isn't as good.

What? Just last year. The game the sharks lost to the stars. 7 overtimes with crazy saves all game.

so went to the rangers-avalanche game last night. it was horrible in fact a travesty. me and maybe 3 people in my section were avs fans and we got destroyed. msg was ringing like they won a freaking playoff series. the number of fights at the end were ridiculous, half the avalanche bench was empty. it was ridiculous how shit they are right now. two games this week that i get to see them lighted up...keep in mind i've only seen them play live 4 times in my entire life due to circumstances like living in a city without a nhl team within a 6+hr drive radius i haven't gotten the chance to see them often. damn it all.

imo a hook is a hook whether it be during the regular season or Playoffs. just because the Cup is on the line does not give players the right to suddenly throw the rules out of the door. the refs are doing their jobs to maintain the integrity of the game. last thing i want to see is penalties not being called and it gets to the point that players are injured or a game and maybe series is decided by a goal ("cough" brett hull goal against the sabres) that shouldn't have counted because something wasn't called.

haha my brother sees his first nhl games, ends 4-1. next game in calgary ends 8-6 to tampa. madness

Refreshing! Former player of my favorite (european) team made his debut yesterday in NHL and immediately made a goal. Long live Jesse Joensuu!

eh not sure he'll do too much but on the other hand he might provide some leadership to the team especially since he's been around a while and has experience not only winning the cup but legitimately contending for it when he was in dallas.

FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR******* and coming from an avs fan who just watched their team get raped in the fucking ass and shit on, i wouldn't talk about knowing hockey. The facts are that the Rangers offense just got a lot better now that THERE IS A TANDEM UP FRONT WHO ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO PLAY! Antropov and Zherdev are going to tear it up. Avery, Drury, Gomez, and Naslund - something will click there and oh yeah they got rid of Kalinin who sucked balls worse than the other defensemen and replaced him with Morris. The Rangers are in 7th place and they are bottom three in scoring. These trades will work out, the Rangers will score, and they will dominate. Just be lucky they made these trades now instead of a week ago or they'd still be scraping the avs off the ice HAHAHAHAHA
