From the Sunshine coast aquarium.
Not great photos from a camera-phone, owner of our real camera didnt come along and trusted me even less with such a gizmo, so I make up for it in quantity.

Stingray pool, lacked a Steve Irwin to hurl into it.

Sea Dragon, lucky he was in a tank I couldn't get into, otherwise I would have taken him home


Big crab... by big I mean his shell was about 50cm or 2ft across the back

Another huge crab, his legs would have been over a metre

Discus fish


Ugly orange bastards (I dunno what theyre called) and some South American Pacu, who didnt stop moving so I couldnt get a decent shot.
They're huge


Huge Grey Nurse, it would have been about 3m long


Sawfish, he was the only one in the tank that wasnt tearing around like he was on meth. He was also about 2m long...

Its an endemic species to Australian waters but I'm not quite sure, had a look last night but theres about 150 species where that one comes from... somewhere on the barrier reef. Not exactly small either at about 5-6ft long, but seemed happy napping on the bottom.

So was I, most homes dont have a 4m long tank to keep the little buggers in though! There was a small display on popular South American aquarium fish in one section, so there was Oscars, Silver dollars and fish like that most people know.

I just have Koi and goldfish at home in a couple of ponds so it is tempting to get a big indoor tropical tank.

Nice pics Lil. When we went to the nature park thing in Gran Canaria, most of my pics in the aquarium bit were bad, I dunno what settings I should've used but it was a very dark room esp compared to the outdoors and when I used flash I got a lot of reflections back from that. Ah well, I got one good picture out of it at least




was the best I got which is a shame cos there were some awesome tropical fish in theres.
