Man utd were absolutely unstoppable. Further proof if we needed any that christiano ronaldo is the best player in the world right now..

The Guy is immense

lol 7-1... United was just too much.

I'm happy the italian scum didn't make it through, lol @ Totti's face at the end of the game, he didn't know what hit them...

Congrats to Man U scum on a well played game.

Fergie still has few tricks left to stay ahead of everyone

Probably the most pleasurable score that I've seen in quite some time. I knew Man U was gonna advance....just had a feeling about their determination this year...but didn't think they would completely obliterate and embarrass a solid Roma squad. Very very very.....NIIIIIIIICE

Posted by nchs09 on Apr-11-2007 01:05:

grrr... so i get back from school and decide not to browse the sports forums because i was about to see the games,

so i go to the cor and some stupid bitch posts the score of the game in a thread with no warming or anything... GRRR slut!

Posted by OurManFlint on Apr-11-2007 04:56:

Shit, I came to watch this match like half way through the first half, and ManU was already raping Roma. I forsee three british teams in the semi's (assuming Liverpool doesn't loose this bad...

Posted by Faust_UA on Apr-11-2007 09:21:

WOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!! Roma was just torn into million small pieces! It looked like it wasn't Roma but some village team. Amazing performance and the best play that I've seen from Red Devils. Wanna have it on my compluter to watch it again and again!

Posted by halexander837 on Apr-11-2007 12:25:

I watched the whole thing on YouTube...

Excellent performance by Rooney, Ronaldo and Carrick

They were just in a zone!

Thank you Man U for teaching the dirty Roma scum a lesson...they got cocky after they won 2-1 haha. As for Totti..I cannot believe he said this was his biggest match of his career..bigger than the World Cup final against France. What a dickhead! Wish luck to ManU.

Next one to humiliate: AC Milan

I think Man Utd can beat them, but they have to watch out for the counter and long range shots from Kaka and Seedorf

Posted by Saka on Apr-12-2007 21:56:

I hope you all don't jump down my throats with "we'll beat you easily".
But I hope there's a Man Utd - Liverpool Final.
Neither of Chelsea's performance's against Valencia showed any real zeal to win or 'push', and I doubt it would be an interesting final with them in it.

There is absolutely no chance man utd will 'humiliate' milan in the same way they did to roma.

Milan have too much experience and are too good at holding onto the ball to allow it to happen. Roma's biggest downfall on tuesday was the way they played, they tried to match man utd in an attacking game, leaving themselves hopelessly exposed at the back. Milan will just sit and invite utd onto them for the whole of the time and punish them on the break.

Milan are masters of two leg european football, yes their an ageing force, but write them of at your peril.

I think the main reason Utd trashed Roma is simple - luck. They scored like, 4 goals from outside of the area? It's so similar to that Portugal 7-1 Russia game a couple years ago that it's not even funny. Everything went absolutely right that day.. just like this time.

Posted by Yohan on Apr-13-2007 17:05:

It'll be decided by which team can stop the other team's creative force. Kaka or Ronaldo

Someone obviously didnt watch the game

Just go watch rooney's goal and pay close attention to the buildup to it. That pretty much exemplifies how we played on the night and you'l want to smack youself for even thinking that luck played a part.

I did watch the game you muppets. What I meant was - Man Utd beat Roma because they were (clearly) superior. But they trashed Roma because the finishing was incredibly lucky/spot on. A normal result from all the chances I saw would've been 3-1 or 4-1. Roma attacked for long periods of time (although poorly) and had a couple chances as well. They deserved to lose the game but not for a difference of 6 goals.

And don't get me started on their goalie and his brilliant technique of watching still and praying for the ball to go wide.
