I've been laughing at that quote for about two months now...hahahaha, Selma a Montreal TA wrote that in response to someone seriously asking if fat people could go to see Tiesto spin.

As for Serena, she's a true champion it would be sad to see her go due to a severe calf cramp. Plus I want to see her against Henin in the next round, that'll should be a pretty crazy quarter final (Australian open champ against French open champ). Also no idea if you play, but if so we should go hit some balls since we essentially have a lot of the day free.

it's pretty quiet today at work (cuz of the holiday)

but so far it *has* been quiet here (going into my 2nd week so far here). As a temp-to-perm Admin Assistant, there really isn't much besides the core responsibilities of the job, no project work etc. I'm basically taking the opportunity to really learn the functions of the dept and looking fwd to being able to apply to open positions across all offices if i last beyond 3 months. My mentality with this job is already beyond positive so thats a good sign...I even arrived here at 8:29am and I wasn't grumpy at ALL!!!~

another temp agency called me on Friday with a temp-to-perm opening in Citigroup in LIC and the job sounds more project-oriented etc. My resume's in there, but they havent gotten back to me about the next step (interviews etc) so im not going to even count myself in the running for that. Just plan on working with what I have so far. Once I get my paycheck (which is also problematic so i haven't received sh*t for the past two weeks ) -- I'm going to TRY saving at least half my paycheck per month toward going back to school (after rent, cc/bills etc of course). Inspired by a financial article i read in Newsday. Lets see how much I *can* save...

Currently browsing various college websites/curriculums, and discovered that i missed the registration deadlines for the last summer session by two weeks. i'm sooo mad at myself, knowing i COULD have gotten a few requirements out of the way THIS summer if only i HAD been more focused. but ah well, I gotta just look to the future, and ride this wave of motivation ive got going now...

i *used* to play recreationally back in college a long time ago but remained on a novice level. def a LOT of fun!

im soo out of practice & shape i'd have to relearn everything and practice like hell. But i am open to doing so even tho it will take me a long time. hehe. just thought to warn you in advance. plenty of ppl have lost patience waiting for me to catch up.

Im MAD I wasted a vacation day by taking off on Friday cuz I found out we had no power here and they were sending people home. I tried to see if I could get the day back cuz of the circumstances and they said no. Im outta here at 1 tomorrow and off Wednesday.

Federer will lose eventually and Sampras was the best player to play the game no doubt Federer will win more majors but Sampras played in an era with better players. Debate could go on forever but Sampras was awesome.

*back on court now and Serena still limping slightly...her dad told the press she needs to retire and doctor say possibly permanent damage.

I was oops sorry I went to the gym to hit some tennis balls for a while...now I'm officially signed up for tennis classes twice a week, yessssssss something to cut up my boring days.

i do hope ur let out a BIT earlier than that...maybe as the day progresses and the ppl SEE everyone else leaving...

the stock market closes at 1pm FFS and usually tis the companies within those industries which never close on regular holidays.
