Fuck me Ryan! That is without doubt the smoothest, cleanest setup I've seen.

I don my proverbial hat to you, Sir.

that woodgrain is swanky as fuck.

me likes.

Great booth! Could you show some pis of the front of it?
I remember Junior Vasquez had a wood grain booth that looked similar to this nice stuff!

Here's the front (well, er, kinda the back) of it:

I also added the rack rails (it didn't come with it, but was spaced at 19" for them). Makes it easy to turn everything on/off in sequence (mixer, speakers, etc.) using the switches:

Awesome desk Ryan. I'm not too fond of the wheels on it though, but I guess they are quite practical.

The wheels were optional, but I decided to go with them. It's VERY heavy.

This is making me sooo jelous because i have almost all i need for my desk, but can't find proper legs and or a way to mount them

Posted by DJRecess on Oct-08-2008 12:24:

I guess now seeing that side of it, the only tweak I'd have wanted would be to cover up the holes where the decks and the mixer are, give it more of a solid feeling - unless there's a reason you need front access?

Posted by Ryan0751 on Oct-08-2008 14:13:

Just for cable access. I don't mind it, can't see it unless you're back there anyway. Plus it gives me a hole to stick my vinyl cleaning pads and stylus brush.

I have a blank 19" panel I thought about putting on the rails, but I haven't bothered yet.

I could also paint those rails so they look better But that's all minor.

I stumbled across this company for cool looking legs and brackets:

http://www.tablelegsonline.com/

They can custom cut them for you, so you can go higher than the standard 36" desk height.

I decided to go way overboard and spend way more money in the end

Beating a dead horse here, obviously, but that is one bad ass and sexy setup, mate. Wow.

The rotatry = sex.

Anyone who knows about that mixer tells me it's the best.

Thank you sir will give it a try, but I'm still lost on how to mount legs to my table. The top of the table is made of plexiglass

You could try this, from IKEA: VIKA FAGERLID

or VIKA LILLEBY, These ones are only 6 quid each!

the first idea looks kinda cool, but it wouldn't work because i need 2 slide out things. the top one will be my midi keyboard and the lower one will be my computer keyboard

You can get work like that done at a cabinet shop.

Read the thread a few (3?) pages back.

Dude, just MDF it then. It will cost you 30 quid tops, and if you need to slide something out, just include drawer slide mechanisms - you can get all different sizes at B&Q/homebase/Harware stores. It's probably the only way you're going get what you need.

Well I re-did my parents basement. The requirements were that one set of speakers (the smaller JBLs) had to face me both at my desk and in the booth... so here is what I came up with. Also added some paint to the walls! What a bitch!

This is the view from the opposite side of the basement.

Here is fellow TA cmay119 who was kind enough to bring over his laptop, Serato and his DJM-400 for a house party last weekend.

This is from behind the booth now. A bit cluttered back there.

The view while spinning.

Here is the view outside from behind the decks.

I'm pretty happy with it. We had a nice floor full of people last weekend. Spun for 7 hours or so. Sorry no pics from the party... everyone looks jacked!

Man you must REALLY trust your neighbors and other people to put all that equipment next to the window on the ground floor of your house.
