Not good. Not denying the nature of the bad result--as it surely was. Our defense was unrecognizable. Talking about the fans at the moment, though.

What have sponsors got to do with how good your fans are?

Just implying that Liverpool supporters seem to be a bit delusional by constantly rewinding and fastforwarding the 'We are a better club because we have more loyal fans than you' defence. For a club with fans that dont care , we seem to be doing a far better job than you in retaining our players no?

Im far from a bandwagoner but even if i was - whats the big deal? Whether we win or lose , it really doesnt make a difference in my life right besides give me bragging rights since im not on the field or in the administration.

I'm just gonna put this here....just you know...just one last time (not really one last time at all)...

I see your scoreboard and raise you a premiership table

I find that VERY hard to believe. Americans sometimes don't understand football and football supporters, and you're doing nothing to disprove my assertion. Stoke have better fans than you.

Notice all the empty seats. They've all gone back to the airport for their return flights.

thought anfield spirit would surely surely lift the reds that day... oh well guess they didn't.

LOL Dude whats to understand other than i support a team and im happy when they win and gutted if they lose.

Im not an American FYI but i just dont think sports should be taken dead seriously. Theres something known as good humored taunting.

Now stop being so sore because our owners got cooler sounding last names than yours. Id be pissed to if my team was owned by Hicks.

Youve got a point there

Dayummm they'll have to miss Gerrard tonite. Something strange must happen before they can survive this.

Yeah, looking grim. But, there's always a chance, that's why they play the games. Nobody thought Chelsea would beat Liverpool 1-3 at Anfield, let's see how it goes tonight

Posted by psymon.d on Apr-14-2009 21:30:

Gutted. But happy with the performance and the really positive attitude. Both defenses were very leaky. Someone in an orange kit with a helmet has replaced Petr Cech. Fans were great again. If I had been a neutral, that would have been a 5/5 game.

just curious if you lot supported Everton over United (and Chelsea next month) in the FA Cup? I know I"d be supporting the Reds over most other English or European teams. The city is my original home

not necessarily true, actually. I know many Reds fans who don't really have the "hate" for Everton the same as they do for United.

Of course, this could be because Everton hasn't been nearly as successful as they were in the 80s and the intensity of the derby has lessened a bit. There were lots of problems in the 80s between the two (I remember a few incidents), but football in England is much different now.

On Sunday pretty much the whole of Liverpool was cheering on Everton to beat Man Utd. I don't know a single Liverpool fan who wouldn't want Everton to beat Utd.

Also what a game last night, I was lucky enough to go and the atmosphere was amazing! Shocking defensive mistakes lost us the game but it was a great game

I dont know if Benitez is trying to become a Liverpool legend by attacking United on a regular basis or just trying to become the next mourinho by gaining maximum media attention but hes not successful at either.

We are a better team than United?

How do you guys feel about Hyypi leaving? Was it good riddens to bad rubbish or do you wish him all the best?

I'm just wondering since I don't know if he was popular among the fans?

Seems like he's being wished all the best. Rafa offered him a coaching role, but he still wanted to play, hence why he's leaving to play in the Bundesliga

That can certainly be seen as a sign of appreciation
