i reckon!! they're like the ONLY major company that still does it, but then again that's probably why they're doing it.

damn j00 ziggy!!!!

Posted by Psygnosis on Jun-07-2004 05:48:

what the, how much you payin for that?

Posted by 00soups00 on Jun-07-2004 05:58:

it is crazy that they're putting a cap on Uploads.

i mean that is the ultimate in monopolies on
idiots who figure telstra is the onlyway to
go for broadband..

*sigh*

my recommendation lies with IINet

based in WA, they offer amazing deals
whether your a lite user or a heavy downloading
geek

great offers all available at - http://www.iinet.net.au

note - i am no way affiliated with IINET other then being a customer of their services

Not that it really affects me, but I know people who've unintentionally left p2p software running and been hit with a huge excess bill. And of course, there's nothing you can do about it...

Posted by eRRaTiK on Jun-07-2004 06:01:

well i'm on the Unlimited* Cable Plan $59.95 per month. Dload Uncapped / Upload 128kbps

hmm.. just saw something..

quote:
* Speeds may be slowed to 64 kbps after 10GB. Service may not be used for unauthorised purposes as set out in the Acceptable Use Policy. Includes unlimited uploads. For more information on usage guidelines and the AUP please visit the Acceptable Use Policy.

i think i better check what the deal is when i get home!

With all the other plans, uploads count towards the monthly limit.

yeh did you hear about that case last year where it happened to some lady.. and she took the advice of some people on whirlpool and took it to ACA! not sure of the outcome though, but it was more negative publicity for blowstra.

use the plan search at broadbandchoice.com.au.

i'd be wary of "unlimited" plans, because there's usually a catch (hidden costs, conditions, etc). As always, make sure you read the terms and conditions.

if you have budget of about $110 p/month
then definately go with the Blink 1500 Standard
plan, which is what I am on.

plenty of options available ...
