most boring finals ever. where is your Michael LeBron Jordan James? Wasn't this the game he had to really step up?

rating drop down 25% from last year.

with the superstars of the future being in Portland, Seattle and Cleveland this league is more than dead.

Yea i guess if youre a Spurs fan Ginobili's acting looks like 'emotion', Bowen's dirty moves looks like 'effort' and "accidents" caused by it and that whole Suns story this year as 'justice'.

But thats the whole point of being a fan i guess.

League died the minute the SPurts started winning championships!!!

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jun-13-2007 16:28:

just like how the NFL got it's name the "No Fun League" when the Pats started winning championships...... .

but i change my mind now. Spurs will lose Game 4 and win Game 5, because it falls on a Sunday. we don't want to see drunk people on a Thursday. Sunday is a better day to get drunk.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Jun-15-2007 06:56:

go spurs!
4th championship in 9 years......

Posted by Rockabye on Jun-15-2007 08:16:

San Antonio -> best FO in the NBA.

They draftet Tony Parker with the 28th pick and now he's Finals MVP.

And worst Finals I've ever seen. But not because of the Spurs, Cleveland wasn't ready for the finals.

One great Player alone isn't enough to carry a team to the championship.

Jordan had Pippen, O'Neal Kobe/Wade and so on.

Cleveland won't have any realistic shot at the Title until they sign another great player to support Kobe.

Is Cleveland getting Kobe?
Then they'll have some guy James alongside him

Posted by King Ecnal on Jun-19-2007 13:06:

fuck the Kobe trade talk... but I'd like to see the fag in the East.... therfore he'll probably go to a gay west team!

Dipshit(danny ainge) SUPPOSEDLY talked to Minnesota about KG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Al Jefferson(FUCK!!!), Theo, Gerald Green, Telfair and the #5 pick.....

so yeah basically unloading the bench....

Posted by Rockabye on Jun-20-2007 10:45:

Will King jump back on the Celtics bandwagon if KG joins them?

Big Ticket would be an instant ICON here... he'd bring back the old school fans...

but thats all nice and fluffy.... but it will never happen....

because we got MOSS... we've been spoiled enough for at least the next two years...

KG in Boston would just be asking for hell to freeze over....

i would like to see KG going to Boston, not for the fact he's going to a team desperate for some motivation to win, but the face he's going to the East. The East needs some big superstars, and well, Garnett is the man. With high possibilities that Durant and Oden going to the West(Seattle and Portland), the East's chances to catch up sooner looks bleak.

however .......

i don't agree with this offer that keeps flying around. jefferson, a draft pick, and a player to be named for KG? that's giving up a lot for 1 guy that's 30+ years old. KG is still pretty good, but age can be the determining factor down the road the next 3 years.

as for kobe, wouldn't be surprised if he goes to chicago. looking at the scenarios, there might be a possibility that kobe will be traded for noicini, hinrich, and a draft pick. the reason is noicini contract is expired, and hinrich is being paid $10 million a year. yet, i am sure the lakers also want deng.

for once, I completely agree...

but, at first yes, I thought Al Jefferson seems like a lot to give up. But, I'm farther into this whole KG scenairo then you buttahs... so at this point... I'm willing to part with Al. I wasn't at first glance, but now I trade Al in a heartbeat.... and if Aasshole... I mean Ainge can unload Telfair, and Ratliff in a KG deal... than WOW!!!!

I REALLY don't want Kobe going to the Bulls. Aside from the fact that I absolutely LOATHE Kobe and everything about him, we have such a great group of young talent. Ever since the Chandler/Curry nonsense, the Bulls have only been drafting kids who have won--none of this potential nonsense--just cherry-picking from the final four and international teams. I love it. Heinrich is replaceable, I suppose. As much as I LOVE Nocioni (along with everyone else from Chicago), his wouldn't be a huge loss, but Deng is where I'd draw the line. Of all the players on the Bulls line-up, Deng & Gordon clearly have the most raw talent and the most spectacular potential. If they give up Deng for a few years of Kobe shooting 40 times a game, Reinsdorf can go ahead & start building that concrete block for his trip to Lake Michigan now. I defy anyone to make a case for any other team having a better group of young players than the Bulls do right now. If they keep that core (Heinrich, Deng, Gordon) together and don't decide to pair them up with another Bill Wennington or Bill Cartwright, I'll be pretty damn surprised if they don't win a title, or at least go to the finals several times in the next few years.

Greg Oden (dominating center 1st pick), LaMarcus Aldridge (all rookie team 2nd pick), Brandon Roy (ROY), and Zach Randolph 23 pts, 10 rebs., plus Jarret Jack/Sergio Rodriguez at PG.

My Blazers are just as young and talented.

Cut fade to black

wow. there are heavy reports a possible 4 team trade involving indiana, minnesota, the lakers, and a 4th team(imo the best possible choice is the bulls) could take effect, where odom and bynum would go to pacers, and garnett going to the lakers, and oneal going to the wolves. this looks very interesting.

Phoenix?

Dunno what they'd want though

news keeps floating around they're willing to ship marion, but teams are trying to pull away stoudemire from phoenix. phoenix isn't run by danny ainge, isiah thomas, and kevin mchale you know.

Marion makes huge money that will add to the already high tax the Suns would pay next year since they'd be over the cap. That's why they'd trade him in a deal for KG. Since KG makes like 200 million a year, they'd be more inclined to swap the larger salaries. Amare makes a lot less and they'd be more reluctant to trade him in that case.

Fuck this deal unless the Celtics are involved... which they should be... cause they'll give up the #5 pick....

honestly, fuck KG and Marion... Jermaine would be sexiness playing C for the C's.... god....!!!!

I know it won't happen, but hot damn...

and I can just see something like this happen, and the C's getting two scrubs like Odom and Bynum.... fuckin A....

EDIT: Ok, I've heard Marion, KG, and now Jermaine as C's targets... and for all three I've heard.... "But _____ will never agree to play in Boston..." LIKE WTF is wrong with these guys???? Its the Boston FUCKING Celtics.... and we got PAUL PIERCE for christ sakes... its guaranteed playoffs if ANY one of those guys comes here.... and besides... they'd be instant ICONS.... but no... its the gay-ass NBA... I swear to GOD, all this crap is hilarious to me.... these guys should be DYING to come here... Celtics are not hte KNICKS... with all their problems.... not that bad off....

I dont know, call me crazy, but if I was in the NBA, and I had the chance to go to a team and make it a winner again, I'd fuckin jump.... wtf are these guys thinking????

One of the worst posts on TA since the Kobe > Jordan comment!

Celtics? Are you completely joking? Let's look at the last FOURTEEN years. Celtics have won 472 out of 1148 games. That's an average record of 33 wins and 49 losses. A winning percentage during that timeframe is .411%. That would make them annual contenders for the top 6-7 worst teams in the league. They last won a championship 21 years ago. This isn't 1986...this is 2007. Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish are LONG gone. Talk about living in the past. LOL. People rag on the Yankees for not winning since 2000 but this is just epic. Of course they WERE a storied franchise. Probably the best franchise in sports way back in the day. Unfortunately....this is 2007 and Red Auerbech doesn't run this franchise anymore. No... Danny Ainge does and he's the guy that traded the pick to get Brandon Roy for Sebastian Telfair. He's the guy that continually supports one of the worst coaches in any sport in Doc Rivers. Why would someone want to go there? They could make the playoffs with Pierce I guess but 2 guys and a plethora of scrubs isn't gonna bring any championships. Oh yeah, the C's had the 2nd worst record in the NBA last year and clearly tanked about the last 40 games, which is a disgrace to a good sports fan. There is very legitimate reasons NOT to go there.

Let's put it this way... if you were correct than KG or Marion would request to go there. Icons? In Boston only perhaps. Woopty doo! Like Boston is the center of the universe. KG is already an icon. He wants to go somewhere where he'll have a good chance to win a championship. That is clearly not in Boston! Crystal clear. He already has "made the playoffs." I don't think that's what he's looking for. He could just stay in Minnesota if that was the case. As for Marion? Phoenix to Boston? Oh my God that's a funny one.

How you like them apples? aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

New York as a city by the way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Boston

i love how the media is trying to sell the fact that the blazers are interested in Durant. If the Blazers don't take Oden, the whole Blazers management should be fired. Now looking top to bottom at their lineup, they look pretty solid in their first year with jack, roy, aldridge, and oden. if randolph stays, book this team +10-15 wins.

the blazers did win 32 games last year. the problem with the blazers last year was randolph and james not playing all the games(68 and 57 games respectively), aldridge not getting into the starting lineup until late(started 22 games last year), and no real inside presence. they did have magloire(who i thought would make a big impact, but didn't) and travis outlaw, but they never really made big contributions. oden will make a big contribution next year. book him for 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2-2.5 blocks, and many distracted shots easily.

yeah thanks Rick Pitino...

anyway...

at least someone knows what i'm talking bout... and that would be PAUL PIERCE!!! He's finally helping us out and voicing everyone's feelings... get O'Neal, Marion or KG in here, or get me the F out... which I totally, 100% agree with him, who wouldn't...

hehe, so true
why the fuck will we want Durant?? he's a good player and all but we already have 2 very solid players in that position for fuksakes.

A Center like Oden comes once in a decade nowdays, his injuries are a bit concerning yes but even Pat Ewing and Shaq has had their nagging injuries.

I must say i'd be pushing for a Randolph for Pierce deal so we could have a really good Line up:

C Oden
PF Alderidge
SF Pierce
SG Roy
PG Jack

Now that called being Legit at EVERY position
