Built a new table and added a kp3... need to build a proper laptop stand to clear the clutter.

Sorry, double post.

Nice dj booths here

I've made some changes too:

This was my last update. Good enough for a home dj like me.

Posted by winston on Feb-21-2009 03:39:

I'm very much a baby-DJ, I'm just starting out but here's my kit:

Numark Axis 9's
Numark DXM 06
Sony V700 headphones.
Hoping to get some decent KRK monitors soon. :/

^^ Nice.. I had that mixer at one time... sweet little piece of kit!

I see your putting your surround sound speakers to good use.

Sort of, but it's irritating using them. I'm looking to get a set of KRK RP5 G2's:
http://www.decks.co.uk/products/krk/rp5_g2

Slightly worried they're only 75w per speaker. Would they be sufficient for bedroom use?

sure. they'll work just fine

Posted by i got big pants on Feb-28-2009 01:53:

if anything, just the the krk sub and your set...but i warn you...that thing can thump.

i had the 1st generation rp5s with an rp10s and i barely have the volume knob turned up on the sub and it was blasting...fun times, but extreme overkill

Unlike your computer speakers, the KRK's watt rating is... real. Go in and test em, you'll be satisfied. I'd get the RP6's though.

KRK are good speakers. Their low bass emphasis that could throw inexperienced producers off is excellent for djing purposes

Just moved today, so everything is clustered, but I found an old broken t.60 in the mix and a numark shitty mixer, but I lost one of my technics in the move, so yeah here is what I got in the end of the day

Posted by tintin11 on Mar-06-2009 07:38:

How'd you go about losing a technics?

i dunno..like its in a huge anvil case like the other one and yeah...i have no idea but im pretty pissed. The t.60 that i have to use for now is so garbage, the torque is so low its hard to cue records and yeah...its just bad.....and the tech that did make it across the pond well it was already pretty beat up. Like the ground isnt the classic U shape metal bit, but now its just a wire i have to wrap around the ground of the mixer, and yeah the little lock button too behind the anti skate broke so i am not a happy camper. If it just happens to come like a day or 2 late, I think im ganna sell my serato and technic, and get me some CDJ's
