Derek Howell - Happy To Be Sad

Derek Howell - E.P. [Bedrock Records]
Disc 1:
A - You Wanna Do What
B - In One Hand
Disc 2:
A - Happy To Be Sad
B - I Was Just Leaving

Derek Howell - Funk It (Original & Breaks Mixes) [Fade Records]

"Hello there,
a few months ago I got word that a new Way Out West album should be coming soon, and ever since I have been on the lookout for it. When it finally arrived, it completely blew me off my socks, and I loved every single track of it. Special mention should go to Killa, my personal "track of the year", and not only mine. No need to tell that I was pretty thrilled when a full vinyl-release would become available as well. The joy of playing Killa off a shiny black disc alone was worth all the money I spent on it. And what to say about the other 11 beautifull tracks...
Anyway, enough with the sucking up, you guys up there probably already know that this album is a bomb!
But that's not what this mail is about. Me and a few friends were wondering if there will ever be more singles taken from the album to be released on vinyl? I know Anything But You already got a release, but unfortunately without remixes though. But what about giving Killa a full single release? it's the biggest tune on the album (really, you should have seen the crowd when Sasha & Diggers dropped it at Dance Valley this year, it was amazing!), and I know a loooooooot of people would buy this when it got out on vinyl. Especially when it has a huge remix on the flipside!
But there's the tricky part, cause who would you ask to make a perfect remix for a tune that's already perfect? Now this is were me and my mates come in, since we kinda have a suggestion/request/wild dream we came up with a few days ago: What about a Hybrid remix?
Killa just screams for them to remix it, with its long classical intro and deep chuggy prog beats. A tough yet melodic Hybrid breaks interpretation would be the only thing that could lift this track up to an even higher dimension in our humble opinions. And since Hybrid are signed to Dinstinctive as well, it doesn't seem impossible...
Ah well, this might remain just a dream for us, but it might also become reality, so I thought "What the heck, I'll just send that damn mail, they might even like our idea.". So well, here you guys have our idea, we hope you can do anything with it.
If you can't, well too bad, but that won't make me change my mind about you guys being one of the best labels around! So keep up the good work!
sincerely yours,
Jasper Bellefroid"
