I realize my question may not be really spot on here, but I'm sure some of you could answer in the best possible way

One of my favorite sets of all times is a john debo set, when he opened for John Digweed at the koolhaus in 2002, this was broadcasted on the kiss 100 show. Maybe people call this set a snooze fest but I think it's a great build.
I can't really think of anything at that level in the sense of slowly building.

I'm looking for some warmup sets, live would be nice but whateverz.

"warmup" djs are as a whole an undervalued and underestimated jewel in the scene.
It always cracks me up when these openers try to outplay the main dj as if it were some form of contest for who can bang it the most, but that's a whole other subject.

so yeah warmup, got em? share em

Get this one:

Clovis @ Avalon

One of the best warmup sets I've heard.

i love that this has turned from the "post the funk" thread to the "post just generally awesome music" thread.

as for warmup sets, i've got tons but i'm too lazy to browse my hard drive right now, but i give you one essential one that i'm particularly fond of...

i suppose this also falls into the warmup style category...

Soul Clap - Poolside @ Marquis Los Cabos

"In April 2008 we were hired to DJ two events for a major corporation's top sales people on a retreat in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The first event was a VIP welcome dinner, which took place poolside at the picturesque Marquis Los Cabos Resort. For this event the mission was to create a classy lounge soundtrack that also had energy and appeal for a more conservative crowd."

highly recommended. i've had this on repeat all week. trying to extend the summer, i guess.

I've fallen in love with Dixon's Temporary Secretary. A bunch of awesome tunes in there. And especially this one is appropriate for this thread. Man, these piano jams drive me crazy. In a good way

I love every single track on the setlist..so eclectic and he brings up the right genres at the right time...do know that he will give some insight into the music he's playing during the lazpod (as he always does on podcasts), but i highly recommend this particular lazpod.
