I'd nearly be tempted to bring the cdj's down beside the X1's.

Move the X1's in closer to the mixer first. CDJ's on outside. Then place some dinky little stands which could have some nice monitors pointing right at your ears. I know you have the Mackie Monitor down in the corner but dunno how comfortable it is reaching for the cdj/eject button etc etc.

Really nice set up though. Love the use of the fussball table. Great vision.

Steve

I've always loved Ureis, Bozaks, ARS, E&S DJR, etc. They usually accomodate 2 turntables, because the love of rotaries aren't without it's 2 bitchs.

CDJ's for playing cd's? Two controllers for 4 decks?

Also Cdj's for timecode control as some people just prefer manipulating music that way.

Those are my guesses.

Why would you need to play cds if you have Traktor? Why would he need TWO controllers if he's using the CDJs for time code?

I have 2 CDJs AND 2 Tech 1200s AND Traktor.... I mostly just like having options (I have friends come over and spin a lot, plus I throw events).

This..

Besides since when has dj'ing been about needs, it's all purely based on wants. no?

Exactly!

Options... it's all about the options. No to mention the ability to expand. More components, additional computer....etc...

After almost 3 years of putting my hobby on the backburner, I've been back into it with relentless commitment since the fall. I sold my CDJ 800 MK1's and bought a Maschine. Mapping it for Traktor Pro and to my own workflow was a mammoth task, but I learned a hell of a lot from it.

I'm running 3 decks in traktor, and keep my fourth channel for Maschine in case I ever want to throw in some live elements.

The ol' Nuo 4 does the trick mixer-wise,but I'd like at least a Xne 62 in the near future.
