I do have an update for all the Desyn fans though.... I saw Desyn last week in LA spin at Ecco and he did a special 4 hour mix. Can't tell you how good of a set it was. He wen't from his typical house music style pace to a rocking funky/disco house groove that had everyone dancing, and it ended with Inner City - Big Fun and Bill Withers - Lovely Day.

I asked him about the songs at the end of his set and he told me he recorded the set and will be releasing it on the internet soon!

Time to bring this thread back to life, I have been hunting this mix for close to a year and finally got my paws on it. It is the full recording session from twilight on the tikki (wmc 2010), many know a one hour chunk of it as the "matter promo mix". But this mix is 3+ hours in length all sos, only took a year but whatever. DL link

is it just me or has this been mixed very roughly? I noticed lots of offbeats and way to much EFX. There are (as usual) a couple of great tracks, but personally I don't like how they promote their new sos/16b records in this set.

what do you guys think?

I thought it was pretty good, I noticed a couple flaws but I do not dwell on them there is much going on and I can understand how sometimes things ware not perfect. We are all human and mistakes are made.

Also the promotion thing, some of thosee tunes have yet to be released. And its not like they are dishing out the names. They are basically trying them out to see how people react.

i know Desyn has quit Sos the collective with the reason he get married and have no time for traveling arround with the guys or something like that. There was a party with Sos without Desyn during the conference at the shelbourne hotel. Any information about all that situation and exactly what happened with the SOS collective ?

The rumor I heard was late spring of this year, but i was also told that most of the efforts where being concentrated on the re-launch of Alola Records. I imagine we shall be seeing it sometime this year, when is not certain though.
