I knew they would be reducing the number of drink tickets, but I thought they were reducing the tickets to 6 for people that bought their tickets closer to the festival. I didn't think that would impact everyone. That would constitute a bait and switch.

Where are they saying this?

WOAH near scare. So I had to call and change my reservation at the DoubleTree b/c I'm staying with someone else on the Saturday, and won't be checking in until Sunday.

I was told that I couldn't change the reservation b/c there were no rooms available. Umm...yes there are. MY ROOM. I had it for 2 nights, and now I only need it for 1.

This is what their cancellation/change policy says:
Your reservation is guaranteed for late arrival.
Please contact us should you need to cancel your reservation.
Cancellations are required by 4PM on 30 May 2010 local hotel time.
 Cancellation penalties may apply.

It doesn't say "if you make a change we're going to cancel your room and rebook it, and if there's no rooms available for the same nights you're out of luck"

I paid extra so I could make changes to the reservation b/c I knew that it was likely that I'd only need it for Sunday night and I'd stay with other people on the Saturday. What is the purpose of paying extra in order to make changes when I can't.

I had to talk to a supervisor who then had to convince the hotel to let me change it.

I've NEVER in my life had this problem before. I did the same thing at the Marriott last year. I had the room for 2 nights and had to change it to 1 night instead, no problem.

Needless to stay, I will not be staying at a DoubleTree again.

What did Chris and Shelly say? Maybe they can just let you keep it and pay you the cash? or is that still even the plan?

It's already canceled. They eventually did it.

Chris and Shelly still didn't know what they were doing, so they said to just go ahead with my own plans.

Hey guys, Im sooooo excited DEMF is just a few weeks away! So, Iv'e been doing vigourous excercises to build stamina levels, and practicing my glow stick twirling tricks. For any of you old schoolers out there, lookin for new school moves, I can show ya where it's at. Charlottes web.

Iv'e got this one light show I do where I pull down my pants and i hold a glowstick from my buttcheeks(the glowstick is not all the way in). Then, while I'm gettin everyones attention, I tie my knot of string from the end, with a few more glow sticks attached. Now, I call this one, Charlottes web. Ya gotta get really dancin with your hips so you can just kind of whip them things around. And when you slap people with them, it sends a reverberation up the string, to the asscheck where you have your rumble zone, which produces AMAZING light effects. Just keep spinning and twirling with the occasional twist. Theres really no wrong way to do it. Just have Fun and be Safe !

Cribby, I anticipate this will be another entertaining video you can add to the group.

Edit ---> from Detroit LuvIf you purchased your VIP ticket before May 6th, you will receive 9 drink tickets. If you purchased your VIP ticket on May 6th or later, you will receive 6 drink tickets.

The fist 500 tickets were at 9 tickets, which is all we were expecting to sell! we made a deal with our food and beverage service for that count.

Now that we have a demand for more tickets we have to adjust, they wanted it at zero but we knew we couldnt do that. its still 6 free drinks and if you dont want them you can always just get GA.

No problem, how do you feel about 43 year old meat between 12 year old buns. Hopefully not the same way michael jackson did. But hey, yes if you see me, I owe you a sandwich!

So I have officially caved and have decided to go again this year.

Center Street Social
Boat
Old Miami

Mutek is going to hurt the next weekend

Posted by The Highroller on May-12-2010 00:51:

Starting to consider the Center Street Social party in addition to Blue Collar, Boat, Old Miami and the festival.

Have I lost my mind? lol

Seeing Marcel Dettman and Ben Klock again without having to go overseas is highly unlikely.

DEMF : Incorrect Music Presents : Saeed Younan / Anthony Attalla {5/28/10}

I want to go to support my buddy Matt Herdman, but I promised myself I wouldn't do a Friday party in fear of ruining the rest of the weekend, Friday is for packing and prepping during the day and early bed for epic sleep and rest at night... (But I have ZERO willpower, so I may go)
