faking hell, now i want decks too

Posted by auujay on Feb-16-2004 00:34:

I see you got the coins going on your beat LEDs too. I deffinitly did this at first and highly recommend it as it was very tempting (though sometimes usfull) to watch when I was still trying to beatmatch.

Those are the Yorkville YSM1p Powered Monitors and a Yorkville YSS1 Powered Subwoofer.

You can buy that set easily... it's really good. Very, very clean sound, big bass. Awesome monitoring speakers.

I'll give you $60 and one virgin woman for your entire setup

I like it.

Posted by DJ FireWire on Feb-17-2004 07:16:

Nice offer man, but with a setup like that, I get 10 virgins in that room every night. They all come out non-virgins after.

alright, you drive a hard bargain. Add in a half drank can of luke-warm bud light to my offer.

hehe. that is a sweet setup, if I did have it I would be too scared to use it. I'd make it look poopy.

Posted by DJ_Rob on Feb-17-2004 08:49:

OMFG
that pioneer set looks very very very sexy!
good work man

1000MKII's... you can tell by the color. 800's are silver, 1000's are black. Yeah man it's sweet but it's kinda tempting to make a mix which is not gonna have any legit tracks, lol. Gotta watch out for that when mixing burnt CD's...

Posted by Rememberence_ on Feb-20-2004 03:27:

Just got my first deck Already had my mixer (A&H Xone:32) for a few months now, but finally saved up the cash for a couple of whitelabels, a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro's, and my first 1210MK5. Here are my babies set up.

Allen & Heath Xone:32
Alesis M1 Active MK2 (pair)
Technics SL1210-MK5
Sennheiser HD280 Pro Silver Headphones
Shure Whitelabels (pair... cart #2 is awaiting my second deck)

Cheers jade, it certainly took a lot of patience, even when my setup is missing a deck, this moment has been over a year in the making (probably largely due to my vinyl habit).

ROFL. c u n t

Posted by DjJade on Feb-20-2004 03:41:

asian background?? lol what the hell is that supposed to mean

a year in the making...
yeah all that vinyl and just one turntable..so you just listen mostly? i would suggest ripping them and mixing in using a computer atleast just for the practice

Posted by Rememberence_ on Feb-20-2004 03:44:

hahaha now you're in shit paul

Jade - well until yesterday I couldn't even listen to them. So for now I mainly listen, but I've been attempting to beatmatch tunes on vinyl to mp3s I play through the mixer too. I have been mixing with software for about a year now, but no need to rip my vinyl to mp3 cos all the vinyl I have is stuff I bought after hearing the mp3s in the first place, so I have them all. If it weren't for MP3 I wouldn't know what music to buy in support of my heroes

In house joke mate but it doesnt take einstein to work out what i meant. Most asians i know go to hong kong and pick up cheap inferior copied shit, aka burned ps2 games. Hence i was just giving Rememberence_ shit, just like he gives me shit about my greasy skin and how i been working at his local fish n chips shop all my life

edit: we do love each other though.

Posted by DjJade on Feb-20-2004 03:59:

i knew you were kidding... just that most asians i know [including myself] dont settle for inferior products. on the contrary, most asians i know have the best of everything. just weird hearing you say that when i am so used to getting ragged in the exact opposite fashion : )
