Hi guys,

I am from Holland and I am thinking about visiting a friend in Denver next year. I was hoping to catch some cool trance party while I am there. Here in Holland there are a lot of cool trance party, but I really like the vibe, the atmosphere and the people in America at a trance party. So, are there allready some parties planned for next year or is it to early? Thanks for your help!

Infected Mushroom last night was great. So they may not have changed the set entirely like they wil after NYE or on NYE but half the set did consist of new tracks - some played already but like 4 or so that have not. Would have liked them to open with Riders on the storm remix like they do in some shows as well as play ratio shmatio like they do in some, but new songs are a treat as well. Def going to the boulder show on the 29th. They might play Symphonatic!!!

Posted by tortoise on Sep-27-2008 00:01:

^^^^Symphonatic is the best Infected mushroom song ever. i have been to 4 shows and never heard that or 'psycho' or 'bust a move'. hopefully the will play them once more.

BTW, your name wouldn't happen to be Shawn would it?

Posted by Section 8 on Sep-27-2008 01:00:

lol, no his isnt... but we know a sean that was there >_>

Posted by tortoise on Sep-27-2008 03:27:

ok i was just wondering.

Posted by element-y on Sep-27-2008 03:48:

Sean S. ? Tall guy? If so I know him yea - work with him under Polygamy Productions.

They played Bust a Move at the last two Colorado shows. was great. But yea, they said they might play symphonatic. Also a shout out to Randy Seidman - he tore shit up at beta once again.

Posted by tortoise on Sep-27-2008 05:45:

yep that him. hope they play Symphonatic it's one of my favorit songs of all time.

Yea sector8 (charlie) and I have joined with him and Tommy Sam to be part of Polygamy Productions. We were all at the event on thursday. We have Filo and Peri coming on November 29 - and the filo and peri gig and the palladium the same day as brainwash isnt happening so if the mod could please remove that. Thanks. The venue for the 29th is a massive "virgin" venue - never been used for an electronic dance music event that recently undertook a massive update and will be a venue I am sure you all will enjoy.

Also, we are working on getting some psytrance after filo and peri possibly, so will keep you all updated.

Posted by tortoise on Sep-27-2008 20:38:

^^^ some psy would be awesome. the last 2 time i went to see j00f the cops shut down the party. lol. also Marcus Schossow is going to be in the USA in November maybe you guys could bring him up here for cheep or something. (Fingers crossed)

Posted by element-y on Sep-27-2008 21:17:

Huh, good call. Will see what the others think about getting him.

As with J00F, would love to bring him out, be even more bad ass to have him here with CL, but both will be too costly most likely, and I think overall the others prefer getting artists who havent been here before if the cost is the same (that is, excluding filo and peri for the november 29 show).

Halloween with Jody Wisterhoff of Way Out West @ Below, Denver, CO

Any confirmations? I know this is a "hard to get to" club in the first place but this trumps Tong.....

Posted by element-y on Oct-08-2008 21:50:

the halloween massives this year suck big time imo. Both afterlife and hallowfreaknween.

Posted by Section 8 on Oct-08-2008 22:13:

yeah, triad is really dropping the ball here. whats the deal? do they no longer care about putting on a good show?

Posted by kabelicious on Oct-09-2008 16:49:

Honestly, the last good Triad event I attended was Skylab 2006 with Digweed in that hot, crowded paintball run. THAT was a good show.

Since then, it seems to be a rotation of the same DJs - Icey, Bad Boy Bill, Vission, Dieselboy, AK1200, Aude, Micro, etc. They don't bring in the newer more "mainstream" like Sander Van Doorn or Deadmau5 to massives (I don't count Rave on the Rocks - that's a festival in my mind). And I know the chances of hearing someone like Richie or Lawler at a Triad massive is slim because they need those more "mainstream" sounding folks to get attendance for their giant events but just mixing it up and getting some different DJs would go a long way I think.

Any other suggestions for our local massive throwers?

Posted by omega1n on Oct-09-2008 17:54:

I rather see the more mainstream artists at the club, imo... But hey, at least they do mix it up every now and then. They've had Christopher Lawrence, Above & Beyond, and Jaytech at a couple of "massives." Just dont ever expect the lineup for Caffeine to change. Oh yea, Matt Darey at Candybeats coming up which should be a massive.

Posted by element-y on Oct-10-2008 01:41:

I actually think the mainstream artists play better at massives - well some do. Some really like to play with the crowd and it really gets the set going. Sometimes clubs in Denver are so empty the sets suck and are a real dissapointment. I am sick of all the massives here though thrown by the organizers named already. Same rotation of artists. Sure there are new names every 3 years or so haha but it gets old for a massive if it isnt a new name every year. And Jes.. ENOUGH already. She sucks. Please colorado, do not book her anymore.
