What I was saying was, don't complain about things like money and ethics when talking about a company that hosts raves. And I am very, very excited about EDC! edit:now, if I do have one complaint, its that Gareth Emery is not on the mainstage! |
step 1 to not being looked down upon would be to timely inform people what they are paying for.
just saying, i know it's not your fault (you're probably the best employee at insomniac)
you have to admit that every single other festival in the history of all time has had their lineups announced timely, yet EDC still says "coming soon" on the website... come on...

By the way, June 26th will be a full moon. |
I'm not even going to argue this anymore. But I am pretty sure all of these artists have played in California up and down the coast, considering you guys brought them all together is nothing special. It's cliche.

| Originally posted by bigperf freaking nero had to drop the 411 into the insomniac bashing thread! first the open bar goes away, then no line up, then one of the headliners doesnt give a shit about the event...its gonna sell lots of tickets, but they dont want people knowing how much one of their well paid performers can't stand the event. at least he's getting paid to not stand it, whereas everyone else here complaining is still stuffing insomniacs pockets. ![]() good thing we got guestlist! |

You can probably get a permit, but they dont make money from 2-4am so why would they keep it open?

| Originally posted by darthseph Dude... sure thy may have been at clubs in LA and San Fran but not a whole lot of them make stops in SD anymore. When Giant pulled out of booking down here, the wells gotten pretty dry and pretty slow. I'm glad to have the opportunity to see some of my favorites up at one place for one flat fee. Could there be lineup changes? Sure, but you wont please everyone, ever. I wager anyone here to attempt to throw a small massive. I worked with people on New Years and had shit thrown back at us for the faults of two people's bad communication. My friends lost a shit storm of money. So either man up and try it yourself, STFU and don't go. You have to realize how hard to throw anything this large is, and how much Insomniac is STILL a business. What do businesses try to do? MAKE MONEY! At least Insomniac continues to prove well enough that they put on events that draw. Are there miscues? Certainly, and some that shouldn't happen, but really, come on. You know enough of the lineup to decide whether its worth going to. The rest will be icing on the cake. If your favorite artist hasn't announced they are playing, then most likely they aren't. GET OVER IT! I am looking forward to enjoying the event with my friends. Good music, and good vibes Henry. |
Yeah seriously people saying the shit that they are saying an accepting this utter bullshit is why it happens. All the people who know its bullshit but still go to do drugs or drink are just fueling the monster and should really stop.

| Originally posted by fantasyexctasy Yeah right dude, the prices they're charging us, I can throw a way sicker party. Electric Zoo tickets are way cheaper and their lineup is better, the event location is better, and everything else production wise is too. Don't give me that "oh if you dont like it, do it yourself" bs. |
