It's so sad to see many of my fellow Americans completely brainwashed with this war. I'm so glad I moved to Europe and get to see the real news, not CNN or FoxNews.

Anyhow, whoever says it's gay for a DJ to publicly express his views on the war or any issue not related to music is a hopeless ignorant. I recommend you take a couple of art history and/or music history courses so you learn about how social circumstances have shaped culture and how art has reacted to these various discourses.

This reminds me of when Beethoven was composing his 3rd Symphony inspired on Napoleon's republican and anti-monarchic ideals and was even going to call it the Napoleon symphony. However, when Napoleon's true imperial intentions became known Beethoven completely lost his temper and composed a mad crazy symphony where you can hear his angst and dissapointment with Napoleon. He crossed out the dedication to Napoleon and changed the name to the Eroica symphony. My favorite

Trance is art, art is mostly made by idealist people who usually fall left of center. Face it, it has always been like that and it will always be the same. If you don't like that fact and can't live with it then support some right wing art instead. Good luck finding it.

Also, PvD is a cultural ambassador to a country that opposes the war(Germany), so he's even more qualified to represent his country that way. If you'll stop supporting PVD because of his expressed views on the war then don't worry about it, I'm sure he won't miss ya

So you're saying you'd let Saddam continue what he has been doing for the past 2 decades, killing millions, and I mean millions of his own people while the world stands there and does nothing??? Proof is out there, just ask any Iraqi citizen, and they'll give you the whole truth about Saddam's wrongdoings. I pity your French government-influenced mind.

Sadam is evil indeed, but that doesn't mean this war is justified. Bush and Blair took the initiative themselves, without the approval of the UN.. approval they didn't get because the inspectors hadn't found any weapons of mass destruction, the initial reason for this war. why did Bush actually change his motives for going to war from weapons of mass destruction to "iraqi freedom"?

Most of this thread belongs in the good old Political Flame Zone...forum...whatever but I think the main post deserves responding to.

See, there's this thing called freedom of speech that people tend to like until someone says something that they don't want to hear...and PvD is exercising his freedom to say what he wants on his web site.

You can bitch about it, and you can boycott his shows over it if you're really that upset, but the fact remains that he has every right to say what he pleases on his own web site.

Surprise, he's against the war like a vast majority of the world is, if you can't deal with a dissenting opinion you're definitely living in the right country, but you need to stop reading international forums and web sites, because everywhere else people still seem to be interested in listening to the other side, and thinking over their own stances instead of just blindly going along with the main line, and refusing to even give dissenters the time of day, let alone respect.

ah im wasting time again...

props to pvd! im impressed

AHBAHHHAHAHHAHAAHHA

*dies laughing*

that is officially the most contradictory thing i've ever read. just goes to show u people arent thinking for themselves, and just believe a cause blindly.

You cuss him out, say he's a dumbass, then you have the audacity to say:

plus who are u to judge whether certain opinions are bright while the others are not...

HAHAHHAHAHHAHAA

YOU GOT PWN3D!

It's posts like these from both sides that make me realize something. People don't know JACK SHIT about the war, and should just shut up. They are all blindly believing in a cause.

I'm not taking a side on saddam but just got fews question..

When did Mr. monkey Bush has the right over U.N.?
How da hell "weapons of mass destruction" in the first place changed to be "iraqi freedom"?
Tell me that's Mr. Bush want to free those iraqi at first with his mercy by spending billions of US citizens money while US economic is not damn recovered?

Lots of American just watch only CNN and Fox News, or MSNBC and u believed that US govenrment never has influrences on how they present the news? U probably could see more if u r out of the States..

when did i ever say im going to stop listening to pvd? im listening to his live set right now actually

ill argue all i want to. but this is a message board. actually if this was under the political section i couldve said "this is the right place for it" but we can overlook that
im not trying to spread my opinion by posting it on my website that gets millions of hits a day (lets pretend i have one)
im arguing about it with a select few individuals

see the difference? or am I too stupid.

Freedom of speech is freedom of speech. Thas why were at war, personally I dont agree, and I dont think things like that should be said after a war is taking place, its not fair to troops, but then again Paul's countrymen decided not too join this war, so Im sure its kind of hard for him to be empathetic.
