I have absolutely no idea about what track to pick though. The only thing I know is that I definitely want a vocal track If people are up to it I can decide in a few days. I just need suggestions (preferably tracks that are available in acapella format).

Peace

uuh, i have a good one
Tayfun - Mein Traum

Great Track, and there are also the "Vocal Bitz" on the vinyl...

@blake: Time after Time is from Cindy Lauper

here some other thoughts on tracks 2 remix:
Green Court feat. Lina Rafn - Silent Heart
Paul van Dyk feat. Hemstock & Jennings - Nothing But You
Gouryella - Ligaya (though this one has been remixed quite often ^^)
Ian van Dahl - Castles In The Sky
Solid Sessions feat. Pronti & Kalmani - Janeiro
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun
Binary Finary - 1999 (though this isn't vocal ;-)
DuMonde - Never Look Back
Svenson & Gielen feat. Jan Johnston - Beachbreeze (Remember The Summer)
Fridge - Angel
Ayla Pres. Yel - Sun Is Coming Out
Nomi - In My Dreams
Legend B - Lost In Love
Under Construction - Umleitung / Diversion (since i know the person who made this track i think i could get the midis, the vocals and the samples for this one

well, not really *g*
there are some where you can "export" the vocals with a little effort

The only one i definetely have the vocals is tayfun - mein traum

and from under construction - umleitung / diversion i could get them quite sure (though it's only one word *g*) as well as the midi files

i suggest the last track off the new coldplay cd

its called coldplay - amsterdam

got lovely vocals, usable for sampling. and a beautiful piano sequence

also im sure somebody could come up with the midi for us quite easy

Well actually, unless we can get instrumentals and phase invert, eqing is the only other option, and it rarely works well...so i highly doubt that

Big Ears

A vocal track sounds best to me, wouldnt mind tinkering with an accapella

Yeah i agree. I still reckon lange - i believe, or plummet - dammeged.

ive got pellas so thats a big positive.

Posted by theoden on Jun-27-2003 18:09:

can't we just pick one and get started?

Posted by 8Wonders on Jun-27-2003 19:31:

Where is this "Fatboy" character? Has he even responded once in this entire thread (can't be assed looking through it all)? If he doesn't show up soon we should put up a poll of suggested tracks and just have the people vote on which one. Whichever one wins is the one that gets remixed, acapella or not!

Party Hat

I agree with artic on this one

Lange or Plummet

Shep

Posted by Fatboy on Jun-27-2003 22:18:

I'm having a hard time deciding, but de-cheesing of Plummet - Damaged sounds like fun, so if people want a fast verdict then I guess it's set I also thought Bt - Remember could be fun, or even Matt Darey - Liberation, but Damaged it is.

Peace

Sounds good. Where can we get acapella?

Posted by Phorte on Jun-28-2003 02:29:

sounds wikked!!

brings on the new thread, linkage to the toonage and final guidelines and lets get this thing on the way!!

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Jun-28-2003 12:19:

All right, this is great

Posted by Martin McG on Jun-28-2003 15:43:

ok so are there any rules set before we start this thing then lol?

good choice of tracks! de cheesing of dammaged got my vote too!

chould be intereting to see if it turns cheesier though

Posted by Phorte on Jun-28-2003 15:52:

i dont think i even know that song =)

but then again i dont usually remember the names/artists of most songs.. so maybe its a good thing cos then i'd be sure to be giving my own interpretation as ive never heard the song before..

Posted by ricky on Jun-28-2003 16:59:

anyone have the midi for the melody? or are we gonna have to find the notes by ourselves?

Posted by Shepless on Jun-28-2003 17:40:
