Zomn -
DJ Hooligan is Da Hool. I leave you to your own devices to figure out what track that alias made famous. If anything, Meet Her At Love Parade is what would classify Da Hool as a one hit wonder.

Did Johnny Shaker do anything other than Pearl River?
Coz I LOVE that track

There are so many silly posts in this thread.

I mean, delerium, ayla, haak etc?

and e 65, i mean, they have had millions of releases (albiet crap ones).

People, study the alias list before posting

DJ Hooligan - Hear You Now (Remember? Tisto's very own favorite a couple of years ago... and I loved it even more than him! )

yep! check discogs for example.

everyone knows at least "da hool - met her at the love parade" that one was a huge hit and still a very very good tune, especially the nalin & kane remix.

edit:
ok so i'm offically way too slow now!

Cafe Del Mar cannot be labeled a one hit wonder imo. Kid Paul quit producing and djing all together after Cafe Del Mar was released. Hence Energy 52 was gone as well. Cosmic Baby still produced but never under Energy 52 handle. Also, Cafe Del Mar was one of the only tracks ever released by Energy 52. There is maybe 4 or 5 others.
Also how can you label Delerium as one hit wonders? Those guys have super talent and numerous great albums. Songs such as 'Innocente', 'Silence', 'Underwater', 'Flowers Become Screens', 'Prophecy', 'Fight Me Again' are all hits and classics.

Anyways, Eiffel 65 - Blue. Thats one hit wonder in dance world for sure, and Da Rude - Sandstorm in the trance realm. However, Da Rude's new album doesn't sound that bad actually I just dont believe that he will achieve fame with it as he did with 'Sandstorm'.

Heh, tnx for the trust.

Yes, Frank Tomiczek alias Da Hool, Hooligan and a few other aliases has done several other great tunes. Under Da Hool i'd pick such tunes as
- Bora Bora (1996)
- Mama Sweet (1998)
- Wankers On Duty (1999)
- The Green Flag (1997), very simple but addictive
- Back Home (1997), a beautiful smooth trancer, differing from Da Hool's usual style.

I disagree there, they had lots of other stuff that charted and did well. They also had multiple albums.

I think they are still going as well...not certain though.

but this thread really shows more ignorance than stupidity, kinda like your ignorance that cloud 69 was mike, ya, so just chill.

you know, they say we really shouldn't judge a person by how many posts they have or how long they have been on the boards, but trust me, don't diss tuananh, because in a stupidity contest he would lose to most people on this board including you.

Posted by dj adagnitio on Jul-14-2003 03:17:

I think the best ones mentioned so far are definitelly Spoiled and Zigo - More and More and Binary Finary - 1998, etc.

What about sunblind? they (he, she?) released Believe and I haven't heard of anything else by them, or anything in the makings. That track wasn't huge but I really liked it.

And Darudes best track was feel the beat, which I believe did achieve some kind of commercial success?

you're wrong. it isnt stupidity, i just put that to mock him. it is because they are ignorant, and not in a bad way, because if they just got into trance and only heard one song by a certain producer, and didnt search for more, they wouldnt know they had other tracks, and when a thread like this comes up, "oh shit, i know a one hit wonder".. you guys should really chill out, think about back when you first started listening to trance, you probably didnt know what you know now, remember, everyone has to start somewhere, and i think that is what some of the arrogant fucks on this board don't remember(not calling you one). and dont call me stupid (i know you didnt say it, but you implied it with your last sentence).

There should be another thread like this one that, you know, actually follows the theme.

Robert Miles - Children

yeah sure he made Red Zone as well but that was never really a hit...neither were any of his other songs

Highest UK Singles Chart Positions:

#2 Robert Miles - Children (Feb 1996)
#7 Robert Miles - Fable (Jun 1996)
#3 Robert Miles featuring Maria Nayler - One And One (Nov 1996)
#15 Robert Miles featuring Kathy Sledge - Freedom (Nov 1997)

Highest UK Album Charts Positions
#7 Robert Miles - Dreamland (Jun 1996)

.... So in terms of the sales charts, he had further success.

Yeah my bad, I just realised it aswell when I browsed discogs this morning.

I can't really descide wich track I love the most, wich probably points out the fact that he isn't a one-hit-wonder at all.

Anyways, thanks for the correction guys!

[EDIT]Almost forgot about 'Wankers On Duty', very good track indeed[/EDIT]

Um, no.

They broke up after the release of 1998 "Binary Finary split up, reasons to do with certain members being greedy and bad management."

what's this then?

i remember there was some kind of weird stuff with the name binary finary! something like it's been used by totally different people or something like that. i'm not at all sure about it though. maybe this is by those other guys, dunno!

Nono, you misunderstood what Andski said. He meant that Matt Laws and Ricky Grant broke up and since then Binary Finary has been just Matt Laws solo. So Niterider is by the same Binary Finary, Matt Laws now in charge alone.

Posted by AndskiSpeed on Jul-14-2003 11:53:

Thats it
