I hated Beautiful Together with a passion (Signum remix excepted) so this is a welcome return to quality from the A&B boys. Have yet to hear Schulz's mix.

hrm the signum remix of beautiful together was the only good oceanlab track ever done

Great tune, only heard the Above & Beyond Remix.. look forward to hearing other remixes.

A Dub of this would really be nice though, those vocals aren't too great

Uhh, I don't know if you've been listening to the same track but the vocals are so horribly cheesy that they ruin the entire tune.

I've been trying to make a remix of this (to which nothing but the vocals were submitted) and I just can't... they're just... horrible.

I don't see how they're any cheesier than the vocals in any of the other Oceanlab songs. The project was always meant to be commercial and if that's not your thing then fine, but Satellite is no more so than, say, Sky Falls Down.

markus schulz coldharbour remix is simply beautiful and the vocals are exceptional too imo

just finished listening to the above & beyond remix...pretty solid...teh build-up is is nice

well said.

the cheese factor is no different here to any of oceanlab's other productions.

the lyrics are excellent, justine has a very unique sounding voice.

Hmm, didn't like Sky Falls Down either. So it makes sense.

Clear Blue Water and Beautiful Together, on the other hand, are quite nice.

Really love this track

Original:
It may be "standard uplifter", but I simply love that genre. Vocals are sounding good imho, Justine has a very beautiful voice. The content of the vocals maybe somewhat cheesy, but i don't care about that so much since the melody and sound of them fits really well: 8.5/10

Markus Schulz Remix:
Much darker and deeper, more progressive (as you would expect from Markus). He creates such an amazing groove around the track with his bassline (esp. around 5:05). After listening to both mixes numerous times I'd think Markus' mix beats the original so I give it 9.5/10. Nearly pefect, the only thing I'd have to criticize would be that it takes too long until the song kicks off (as already mentioned above)...

Bah, Beautiful Together is my least favourite Oceanlab.

The Marcus Schulz remix is listenable, atleast. The original blows, and so do the lyrics.....for the most part, that is.

See, what I just said there was my opinion. My opinion, not yours. You need not agree with it but whatever you say you will not make me change it.

Well what I said was my opinion too. Obviously forums exist to exchange opinions and I was not attempting to change your mind but rather to share my point of view with you. That my opinion differs from yours only makes it more relevant.

shhhh! Don't tell where to get them until we've received ours!

Schulz remix is dope. Much better than the "Coldharbour" remix that he did on a Lost Language tune this summer. Anyone know the story behind the whole "Coldharbour" thing? I first heard of him via a friend who knew him in Arizona, and now he's in Florida, and it's not really "cold" in either place

Posted by skip on Dec-23-2003 10:00:

nothing special here IMO, haven't heard the markus sculz remix yet though. but that is no surprise actually as i didn't like the originals of sky falls down and beautiful together. i loved armin's remix of sky falls down and signum's remix of beautiful together though, so i think this might have some remix i'll like in the future too, who knows!

but i have to say that i LOVED clear blue water, such an amasing tune, i still listen to it pretty much!

Posted by Misty Kitty on Dec-23-2003 11:16:

Its pretty.....cheesy imo,

I dont deny its niceness and Justine has a fantastic voice but it doesn't do too much for me.

Posted by kr00t0n on Dec-23-2003 17:10:

Decent enough, but the words in the vox just sound stupid, thus killing the track

I mean 'singing satellite'?? wtf?
