guys, here are the set times for space34 this saturday, And I'm not very pleased about this, In fact, I'm pissed off.
Roland 10 - 1
Ferry Corsten 1 - 4
Oscar G 4 - 6
Marcus Schuls 6 - Close
It shows that Ferry Corsten will be spinning from 1am til 4am which means we get to here him for 3 hours on the broadcast, But what really pissed me off about this is the fact they dont want markus opening for ferry corsten like originally planned, Markus has been working all week on some new reconstructions that he was gonna play on his warmup set at space34 and it looks like its not going to happen cause they want him to do the 6am to closing slot, the info was posted
here.
That sucks ! It really pisses me off too, but you know the Space guys they might change their minds later .
I was so looking forward to this broadcast to happen with the two, But I have a feeling That I would not be as excited as I was when it was originally suposed to be markus and ferry, Don't get me wrong, Roland is an awesome DJ, But it would be very difficult for him to set the tone for ferry corsten who is a trance DJ by all means, Roland spins house music with a touch of progressive, But the club is going to be filled with lots of trance fans all waiting for ferry and playing house music with them isnt really gonna set the tone, This is why MS does an awesome job doing warmups, He can start off a set with some dark progressive then slowly build it up some proggy trance.
Anyways, Enough of my bitching, I was talking to globalgirl just a while ago and I explained what happened and she told me the reason behind all this, Markus was asked to do the Ultra After Party right after the Ultra Party at the convention center, space34 desided to have markus close space34 from 6am-9am cause they felt that 4 sets on 3 nights was too much for him, Anyways, GDJB this sunday is gonna be all pre-recorded, I dont have a full lineup of it but will get it tomorrow, It will consist of a 2 hour markus schulz sets as well as the guest DJ mixes, So there will not be any essentials this sunday, plus markus nor globalgirl wont be in the chat cause they will be at the ultra after party, However, his 2 hour set wil be special, Meaning, We will finally get to hear the Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix of Jewel - Stand, As well as other goodies.
I agree with you, Roland is not the right guy to open the night as you say he is not a bad DJ but he's definitely not the right one to do the opening, Markuz did a beautiful opening for Tiesto and I don't understand why Space guys want to fucked up the night.
It would've been badass to see Markuz at the Terrace !

The decision to not have markus open for ferry corsten was a wise one cause Markus was asked to do the After Party for the Ultra Beach Party, So he cant do 4 sets in threee nights, thats way to much, Markus will however do his regular slot at space34 from 6am til 9am.

wut and where is the ultra afterparty? i thought ultra was ending at 5am sunday/monday morning...so is there sumtin going on after that too?

After Ferry Corsten
Well, that was a cool night. Waited till 2am for Ferry, was able to get in with "the password". My thoughts about his set, very nice song selection, and I loved it when he dropped the new Mauro Picotto!
The place was packed, which is great. Unlike the horrable job Space promoters did with Johan gielen!! As always, using ear plugs @ space allows me to hear today and tomorrow heh.
I'll totally be SKIPPING ultra since other than PVD (which I saw a month(?) ago @ Space) And Donald Glaude, the rest of the DJs are house/deep house ... heh sorry, im more into hardtrance/melodic. What's up with this deep house? do people really enjoy it more than trance?
