i'm very sorry to hear that, but according to his management hes been having a few personal problems of late. he had to cancel his tour of south america a while back because of it.

he should be back at his best soon. hopefully.

Carl Cox Sucks

1. Tiesto
2. PVD
3. AVB

Posted by LiquidX on Aug-18-2003 21:33:

haa!!
I will not give a spot to anyone.. but Id say that Armin van Buuren really deserves the #1 spot.. but this goes as is right now for me.
Armin van Buuren
Tiesto
Paul van Dyk TOP 3 no places given..

John 00 Fleming should be as close too.

Posted by T_2199 on Aug-18-2003 21:38:

Everyone who said Gabriel & Dresden should be high up in the list needs to thing again.. They have some AWESOME productions done this year no questions but as DJs they are nothing special (imo)..I mean where can you hear them live in a club in Europe??.. Pvd is great he seems to play all over the world, Tiesto needs to come to Germany sometime (ok loveparade he was here but overcrowed lfa)

So Ill vote for PVD... Imo Energy 2003 best set this year...

about "duo dj's" making it to the top 100 :

they can make it. deep dish made it to the top 20, and i think they should move up a little higher, maybe breaking into the top 10? .. also i think gouryella and svenson and gielen made it a couple of years ago and also dumonde did also. so gabriel and dresden do have a chance at breaking into the top 100.

Posted by twizta on Aug-19-2003 05:09:

for some reason..i have a strong feeling tiesto will come 2nd..and paul van dyk 1st...but i dont know...since tiesto was good so far this year..a real crowd pleaser..

Posted by IpLaYWiTLiGhTs on Aug-19-2003 05:14:

With recent sets, I think Pulser is gonna brbeak the top 100. Maybe...70's or so. Donald Glaude should also break 100

if gouryella made it, then dj mag editors are idiots for putting them on the list, ferry & tiesto never dj'ed together i think

Posted by ambs on Aug-19-2003 13:22:

i'm not voting for my fave dj.. i did that last year for tiesto and look at all the insanity the title brought with it...
But I'll vote PvD... he's good not my fave but I don't mind if he gets hyped! everyone already loves him anyways hahaha

but my #1 is ARMIN!!!

Posted by MaGiK54 on Aug-19-2003 14:58:

Armin
Tiesto
Carl Cox
Sander Kleinenberg
Lucien Foort

Good point!!

I think PvD is going to get #1. He got into Top 20 with 'Nothing But You' in the UK, so all the UK public will vote PvD instead of Tiesto. I mean, when is the last time (or is there a first time) that Tiesto is in the mainstream charts?

Posted by sykadelik on Aug-19-2003 15:19:

Misja Helsloot, Jon O'Bir, Ronski Speed and John Askew all deserve to be in the top 50 I reckon. But on recent sets PvD has been superb, he gets my vote for no1, I will probably pick the above 4 for the rest of my vote.

Posted by Z1D on Aug-19-2003 19:34:

I'd go with Armin #1, Tiesto #2
It'd also be nice to see Jon O'Bir creeping up the ranks (top 20 or 30 hopefully). Cristopher Lawrence down at 60 or whatever is just plain ignorance, he should be top 20 easily.

rofl yesh.... point made....

1. Paul Van Dyk
2. Armin van buuren
3. Tiesto
4. Sasha
5. Paul Oakenfold
6. John Digweed

... thats how it should be...

Posted by chjo on Aug-19-2003 20:14:

It's between Tiesto & PvD, would be surpriced otherwise..

Posted by Tigo on Aug-20-2003 01:18:

Cristopher Lawrence is so fuckin underrated it makes me fuckin sick!

I know!

I wish there were more recorded sets from him out on the net. Go listen to his CDs, people!

Posted by Pointy on Aug-20-2003 01:49:

PvD will be in his standard 4th position, Jon O'Bir will most likely not make an appearance - has he cracked the US market yet? Not that i know of..

Dunno who'll be #1, dont really care cos its fucken bullshit anyway, heh

Posted by skip on Aug-20-2003 08:10:

Posted by Settepotet on Aug-20-2003 14:52:

Jon O' Bir must be one of the better talents out there. Doubt he's on the list though...

Posted by IpLaYWiTLiGhTs on Aug-20-2003 18:47:

he might break 100...I'd see him in the 80's since he's new...
