What happened "Freefall" who made the track "Skydive" with Jan Johnston

I havent been hearing much of Cygnus X too - but I'm pretty sure they're working their arses off in the scene one way or another ?

Posted by Sand Leaper on Oct-13-2003 06:44:

I dunno if Ralf Hildenbeutel still keeps Cygnus X going. Last thing from that part was a best of album that came out earlier this year, after that things have been awfully silent. Freefall was Alan Bremner and Anthony Pappa, but seeing as none of their current sounds represent the sound Skydive had back then, I think it is for the best that they leave the project alone.

And for the record: all of Tiesto's old school projects (Kamaya Painters, Allure, Alibi etc.) are and will remain dead. Tijs said himself that they were a part of his past, and that he rather wants to move on to new things rather than regressing.

*Monoboy a.k.a. Trouser Enthusiasts

big deal if people don't produce under a specific alias

salt tank, mea culpa, humate -- where are you?
tilt -- just released an ep this year
andy gray -- planet perfecto and ameobaassasin on swordfish soundtrack
sabata - didn't they remix southern sun

also speaking of steve morley... where is dj alici (not sure if they are the different aliases for the same person)

last time i checked sasha was alexander coe

Posted by Arbalest on Oct-13-2003 20:50:

Nostrum

Posted by Fire999 on Oct-13-2003 21:10:

Cass & Slide

They used to put out bootlegs without going through proper channels and print them under their now defunct label: Fire; Fire999

Amazing originality in sound-layering and productions.

ROFL yeah i agree maybe he meant sash or something, cause public domain is so far from sasha production genious it is sickening, i do not know how someone made this connection,
IMO i am glad public domain is gone, not my flavor

someone needs to take his eminem accapellas away from him

Cass & Slide (Cass Cutbush & Pete "Slide" Martin) have split. They decided to put the project on the shelf for now, and are currently involved in their own solo activites. (Cass is running Sabotage Systems and has a new 12" out, Kenjin/Hootinanny, Slide has done some rock bootlegs and some solo tracks as of late)

Last thing I saw Nostrum aka Bernd Augustinski do was release a mix cd in the Clubbing Germany-series, and it had an exclusive Nostrum track on it, released later on Noom if I am not mistaken.

vincent de moor, although luckily he is coming back on the scene

I wish Taylor would produce some more. Anomaly (Calling Your Name), Slide and Xenophobe are freaking genius.

Haven't heard from Andy Ling for a while. Did Futura sink him?

Where is The Light?

Luzon?

Luzon did Manila Sunrise this summer, great tune, check the Luzon Dub and Markus Schulz Remix. The Light remixed Terminalhead - Mind Of Your Own a few months ago, not heard much since then.

Andy Ling hasn't done anything since Futura in 2001. I'm also curious about what happened to him...

What about Lost Tribe?

Posted by neoh on Nov-24-2003 10:20:

Smiley DJ answers.

Thrillseekers? They are definantly still around, I saw them play in halloween for a 2 hour set, they rocked the show.

Robert miles doesent like publicity, and actually coming out with a new album soon. Most of his singles are released in Europe, and even to vinyl.

He also played in California in September
He never went anywhere, he's always in the background.

No idea what happened to lost witness.

Dj Dado is still basking in his riches after making a shitload of money from his X-Files theme song remix, I think he was just in it for the money.

Absolom no longer does live acts. Pascale has a solo project and Ellen is with Praga Khan. Christophe Chantzis has a new project IAN VAN DAHL.

Oliver Lieb will have 3 remixes coming out in December. 'Hearts', 'My Time Is Yours' and 'Blueprint', mixed in one flow. The first single will be a new 'Fragile' remix.

Ayla goes as DJ Tandu, Ingo Kunzi, Tarot, or Yel. Supposedly in production, but I heard he is doing live sets in europe, and hasent had an album since 99.. dont quote me on any of that.

CJ Bolland is going to be playing on NYE in Melbourne.

Salt tank is helping out oakenfold with some remixes.
Paul Oakenfold's album "Great Wall" has Patient Saints Imperpetuum Mobila - which was a production from salt tank, dont quote me on that either.

Just did some reasearch for you guys.

Now can someone PLEASE tell me where faithless went? And I havent heard too much from the chemical brothers, either.

Is crystal method doing anything these days?
What about Fragma? one hit wonders?

just curious. ;D

...is dead. Died in a car accident in 1998 on his way to work with MIKE in Bonzai studios.

As for Faithless, I think both Rollo and Sister Bliss wanted to concentrate on doing their solo projects (Rollo producing Dido + doing stuff with Dusted, Sister Bliss focusing on her DJ career), so they left Faithless on the shelf for the time being. Don't pin me on it tho.

Crystal Method are doing various breaks productions as usual, they released an album called Tweekend earlier this year.
