Football (english one) is ALL about strategy. It just get tuned in WHILE the game is still going on, that's the hard part about it. Also to a non football watcher is hard to see the strategy, it just looks like 22 guys running around pointlessly, which is not the case.

Also for a non American Football watcher (ie me), Am. Football seems like they don't play, they just go to the field to chit-chat. I'm pretty sure that's not the case, but well... To many football games a week, no time for other sports (well maybe some nice tennnis match)

Well thats quite possible. However, cricket is the most popular sport in India (population 1.05 billion) and pakistan (population 150 million).

I've seen estimates that 60 million people or so regularly play baseball worldwide. Even if only 1 in 20 people in india/pakistan played it it would therefore still lead baseball (not forgetting that cricket is played in alot of other countries besides).

What's that crazy sport where they combine elements of rugby, football, and american football all into one? I think if you kick the ball through the soccer goal you get 3 points ... if you kick it through the uprights of an american football goal it's 1 point, and you might have something like a lacrosse stick to use ... can't remember. Anyway, it's the greatest sport I've ever seen.

I guess we can both agree i dont like most usa sports, and u dont like football.

Football ( For Americans, Soccer ) .. is definetly the most passionate sport in the world. Come on, what will compare to the World Cup, Nothing.. its closests to the Olimpics in terms of countries competition. Its a shame why America is not into it, if it were.. I played a variation of that in high school gym class. Can't remember the name of it but you're right, it's fun as hell!

You mostly had to use your feet ala english football, you can kick it in the air for someone to catch, or juggle it to yourself and take 2 steps while holding it. Then you either have to drop it or pass it. There's a goalie with a mat (what we used since it's only gym class) or goal behind him. If you throw it past him it's 2 points, kick it past him it's 3 points. Sometimes we'd bring down the basketball net as well and a shot would be worth 1 point.

We both lost by one goal, and we actually scored a goal.

We also beat germany 5-1 the year before.

So that fact you lost 1-0 to a team which we beat 5-1 throws your theory out of the window, eh?

i think you're confusing a couple of sports there. The one with the stick would be hurling, the one where you kick a football is gaelic football. Just to confuse things even more, Australia plays ireland in a wierd game called international rules, which is half gaelic football and half aussie rules. Since no-one else plays either game, they invented a hybrid game to get the best players from both leagues against eachother, and it's great to watch
