I think it's to clean up all the women in Jack's life for the story. I mean he's got something with Claudia, with Nina, and I bet they tie back in the 'good sister' from last season (that he talked to for 2 seconds in the first episode). 1 down, 1 to go.

I was trying to figure that out as well.
we started @ 1 pm, its now 1 am, which to me means 12 episodes left, not 1 or 2
