My last name is Jewish, and we think that some of my ancestors on my dad's side were driven from Spain during the inquisition(s). It's hard to prove with absolute certainty however.

Yeah, I have Spanish Jewish convert blood too . They were such a powerful force in Medieval Spain, but then the Inquisition and Ferdinand and Isabella came . You know what happened.....But it's interesting to note that many people in Spain and with Spanish ancestry still retain some Jewish aspects in their looks. And for some reason most of my friends in the US are Jewish too.
