the funny thing is...most people I know who don't smoke don't really care about smoke being in the bars. They might not like to smoke themselves, but they certainly don't whine like you lot.

| Originally posted by Dj Smitty20 so if someone is smoking near you...fucking go somewhere else. When some sweaty, ugly gino is dancing like an idiot with his shirt off in front of me and wiping his sweat on my shirt...I move. As I said...whiners. |

| Originally posted by Rocco so now clubbing is purely for smokers? that discremenates alota ppl. mainly the non smokers. THIS IS EXACTLY why the government is supporting this cause. It's all based on having this nation as a free country. I'm free to club but as long as it's filed with 2nd hand smoke, the chances of me suffering from the side effects are greater. now think about it very simply. this isn't rocket science |

Come talk to me when someone in your family dies of second hand smoke, having never smoked a cigarette before in their life. Then try arguing that they should have "fucking gone somewhere else." !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am holding back so many inappropriate remarks right now, it pains me. |
u seem to be missing the point Smitty.
drugs only hurt the ppl who use them AS LONG AS they abuse them. moderate drug use is not gonna kill u. Actually, i look at drugs differenty than smoking. Drugs are very useful if used for health related problems. Not so legal drugs are harmful only if abbused. Moderate drug use only will affect the person using them
ON THE OTHER HAND
smoking doesn't only hurt the person using the tobacco, but the rest of the ppl in the area. Please quit being somewhat ignorant to this fact and try to picture urself as a non smoker.

They don't give a flying fuck about people's health...they tax the shit out of alcohol and cigarettes. They couldn't survive without it. |

| the entire club filled with smoke? yes...that would be from Fog machines...not a few dozen cigarettes. Use your brain please. |

| Originally posted by infinity HiGH Smitty, honestly...give it up. There aren't a few dozen cigarettes being smoked in a club; Try 100's, or even 1000's. And the smoke is filling the whole club; how would you explain the fact that my sweater, and jacket reak of smoke the next morning? I smoke myself, but I rarely smoke on the way back home, and my sweater and coats stay in Coatcheck? And comparing fastfood or booze to smoking is just ridiculous, mainly because smoking is a lot more addictive than booze or fastfood. |

| Originally posted by Dj Smitty20 more addictive? The number of alcoholics and obese people in North American would seem to indicate otherwise. 30% of Canadians and Americans smoke, but 50% are obese. Hmmm |
I live in Ottawa, and the bilaw here makes a huge difference. You can breath properly in a club, you don't smell like absolute shit after a night out, and your eyes don't sting! You guys will appreciate it. If people wanna polute the air, they can do it outside, not in your face!

| Originally posted by Dj Smitty20 and my solution is...in restaurants...have a smoking section that is sealed off and properly vhentilated. Oh wait..we used to have that, but anti-smoking people STILL bitched! In bars/club, having a smoking room or a heated patio that are properly vhentilated, etc. Try to please BOTH parties...but anti-smoking people want it their way and seem to be (unfairly) getting it. |

| Originally posted by infinity HiGH Obese doesn't equal addicted to Wendy's. Also, being obese doesn't cause lung/breathing problems to others around you. And lastly, it's much easier to turn away from being addicted to eating than it is to smoking. Ask anyone who's quit like 15 years ago...they still get cravings to this day. Whatever...there's no point arguing with you, because like always, you display a huge amount of ignorance to every other opinion other than your own. |
The correlation between fast food and cigs could be made if this were true:
I sit on the bus and eat a big mac, and the person next to me gets a little bit fatter.
Do you see where I'm going with this Smitty?
