What are we all talking about here??

That Tiesto is shit..

Well whoever thinks that can keep their opinion to themselves. I can make up my own mind.

Yes CJ Bolland does kick some serious arse, but that's not reason to put other DJs down.

dave knows how to read a crowd
especially when its just one person and he knows what that person wants

i haven't really listened to many tiesto sets this year, i think i may have only heard the one that was on fox fm, it had 'reverence', 'hypnotised', was great stuff! i also love 'nyana' and can't understand why people bag it, as far as im concerned the mixing is fine and the tracks are all great. and after having a couple of goes at mixing i know what shitty mixing sounds like

so im gonna go to nye, and im gonna enjoy it because (assuming he isn't wasted from sydney) he is going to rock, and dance around and play with the crowd and just be an enjoyable experience, even if i don't necessarily like every track he plays. so im pumped up

ps
hey beemer, possible oslo nights tour in australia soon

I have heard a few sets from Tiesto this year and that set isnt the best i have heard him do, but you dont have to put him down because of one set. Tiesto is a mad DJ and he might of been trying to do something different but dont shit on him cause he is trying different stuff. Maybe the crowd loved it.

P.S. I think Nyana rocked aswell, so your not the only one Philby

Posted by muli on Dec-30-2003 00:04:

Oslo nights tour would be well wicked!

Posted by muli on Dec-30-2003 01:59:

um so anyway i listened to Tiesto's set from Innercity and i love it!

This is EXACTLY what i want to hear on NYE!!!!!

Bring it on! Man if he plays most of the tunes in this set the place is seriously going to go off!

Im sure everyone will enjoy it for the sheer vibe that will be created

Im so excited only one more sleep.

Only thing im worried about is its all going to be over so quick

OMG how good is the Montana mix of Traffic?!?!?

Posted by escee on Jan-02-2004 08:42:

Montana mix of traffic is good. But you cant polish a turd into gold.

Tiesto last night was good, not great though, so he isnt dead to me, however i dont think ill be listening to his sets until they are recommended to me.

Tracklist for perth is similar to over east, he played the kid vicious mix of carte blanche and Ronald van debuken - Timeless. Didnt play silence/urban train, did play flight 643 though. Mixing was pretty bad I thought.

whast the montana remix sound like, i need a sample, the innercity broadcast ended at marcel woods -times runnin out.

casue in sydney im sure he played the montana remix of traffic but everyone says he didnt, there was chanegs to it, but everyone thinks it was some handy mixer work which i dont believe it was def not the orig

Posted by JulesPLees on Jan-02-2004 09:53:

Yeah I 2 assumed it was the montana mix...

Its hella intense with some huge drumbuildups....also thought it coulda been mixer work but highly doubt it...

Posted by escee on Jan-02-2004 10:53:

im assuming it was the montana mix since it wasnt the original or max walder. I really doubt it was effects from the mixer or an efx box. As jules said it had a lot more buildups, more energy too it.

Cant give a sample sorry.

everyone who's ripping on Tiesto are just haters... he's the man... he is so huge right now that you can't help but get a little annoyed by how frequently his name is mentioned, and how much attention his releases get, but none the less, you can't take anything away from his success!!! who says Tiesto isnt' allowed to change it up a bit, as long as it sounds good then why are we complaining... he's #1 for 2 straight years for a reason...

Whatever you reckon random. You have just gone from stating your own opinion, to giving shit now. Just shutup, please. Traffic is hammering dance floors around the world.

Its not a great production like ATRC or 3rd Earth or somehting along those lines but who cares... it was never meant to be and no one is stating that it is. Its made to make people dance and go nuts... and guess what man? It achived its goal!

A perfect sum-up. I didn't vote for Tiesto to be number 1, not even top 3, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve it. Go watch his DVD - Another Day At The Office and you will see how down to earth the guy is. How hard he trys and how hard he works... and its all for the crowd, so they can have great time.

Thank god we got someone like Tiesto on this planet
