Armin Van Buuren is unstopable, he moves up every year, so I think it's gonna be Armin's year.

Posted by alffla on Apr-09-2004 02:21:

would be nice for AVB to be #1 ..but DJ Mag is just..hm.

Posted by Frase on Apr-09-2004 02:49:

DJ Wise probably AVB

production wise, probably Alucard or maybe a young british guy called Will Holland

Posted by dartrance on Apr-09-2004 03:51:

Tiesto or paul will most likely take it , there the biggest dogs now and will be for a while

Though it would be amazing if armin got it!!!!

Posted by nchs09 on Apr-09-2004 04:08:

Luke Chable is going to continue throwing down badass beats.

Sasha is coming back with a damn vengeance.

Filo and Peri are soon going to be a duo as well known as Gabriel and Dresden, etc. Guaranteed.

2004 is going to rule as far as electronica goes.

you live in Utah. how many times have you seen Tiesto spin in 2004?

there are virtually no Tiesto mp3 livesets from 2004 available. unless you were at WMC, Latin America or East Asia you don't know what his everchanging current style is. and even Swamper said that Tiesto owned PvD at Ultra. I think we have to wait till summer to judge how he will fare up against the other trance djs.

but then again, I hope all of the trance djs go down because there is almost no quality nowadays, especially with this horrid McProg style that has become so popular as of late.

Fuck it, i'm gonna vote for Sasha, Zabi, Diggers, Howells, Tenaglia, maybe Marco V and Marcel Woods, and Holden (who has improved his mixing greatly in the past half-year).

You must have a hard on for tiesto huh?? Actually I've seen Tiesto every year for the past three years,, 2wice in atlanta, once in chicago, and each set could have been alot better than what it was. Haven't seen him yet in 2004, but i'll write a review just for you. mp3 kiddie?? ha, i have a ton of his cd's so before you go call the police on me get your facts straight. I love cosmic gate's sound, so i hope they make the top 50. I was surprised they even made the list last year, so obviously other people enjoy listening to them too. Go ahead and cry, it's ok. I hope schulz and G & D blow everyone's mind on the list, let's get some American Trance dj's in there, your from holland, your guys top it every year. And for someone to say you hope all the trance dj's go down,, what a hypocrite, your on a trance website posting about trance dj's, and you hope they fail?? Sounds like you don't know what's up or down, let alone who is good anymore.

Well Armin is throwing down some sick sets lately, plus he is so energetic on the decks, I hope he moves up this year.

1. I'm not from Holland, I'm from the US (kind of, but that's off-topic). I just lived in Amsterdam for a year.

2. Trance sucks nowadays. Armin, G & D, and Markus have done some good things for edm in the past, but they're currently taking trance to its grave with the kind of style they're stuck with dj-wise.

3. Cosmic Gate is still cheesy shit, and horrid djs as well.

YES, I want trance to go down this year in the polls because it doesn't deserve to be up there when most of te quality edm is coming from elsewhere. I've been a trancer for over 6 years, I still am, but that doesn't mean I have to like this current style which is simply generic and stale fluff. Move on and sort it out.

#1 - Armin van Buuren

The main reason I think he will supplant Tiesto and land on the top spot is because Armin is everywhere. His ASOT show, in my opinion, is more popular than ever, 76 is less than a year old, A State Of Trance 2004 is a fanastic mix, and never a day goes by when I don't read about him either here or in other music forums. The only way I envision Armin not taking the coveted number one spot is if Tiesto's Just Be turns out to be a gem. Time will tell, n-est-ce pas!
