Just a short review and comment. Incredible night. G&D were unbelivable. IM really suprised me, they blew me away. I only wished that they would have ended about 15-20 earlier. One hour of IM is awsome. Rank 1 - really nice, especially because I love euphoric trance, but after the IM and G&D sets, they really slowed things down for too long with one of my favorite songs of all time-Airwave. The crowd - so positive and great.
The only comment is that I'm tired of people bithing about the Guv. If it wasn't for the Guv we would rarely see such great acts. If it's too crowded, too smokey, to many Ginos, sound system shit, no lasers, coat check to long... stop the wining and be lucky we get the best of the best here in T.O all the time.

the night was simply great....i havent had as much fun since US1...well wait..there was teh IM gig back in august last year followed by Holden in december...hmmmmm
well still its on par with those..simply brilliant
was great to meet the guy from rank1 (forgot the name..Piet i think??) who mentioned to me how much fun it was making hte airwave video cos of the naughty nurses with big "you know what"s
and for those of u wondering where the other guy was...well he was in holland...
apparently only he performs when its a dj set....
anywho...i took a bit too many pics....gonna post em soon...

glad to see u guys had fun. It was really cool meeting a few new faces at the pre meet (and ofcourse the regulars ). I was there till 10 since i had to head home before 11ish so i can get some good quality sleep for today's first pole vault meet.
It was good meeting G&D. Thanks to Liam for taking the time out and inviting the pair to come down. It was a real pleasure.
Thanks to all who made it possible. I hope this even opens the door for many many more trance events in TO.

The night was an adventure, mainly b/c of what hapenned with the trip home. and Deisel0 can attest to it as well. Nice to meet you D, and I hope to spin alongside you sometime soon!!..btw: what's your DJ-name?

I see Dekoze at release almost everytime I drop in on thursdays, but for some reason I can never get to talking to him b/c others take up his time... oh well... he's an awesome openner for any event, and a great DJ, but I wouldn't goto his headline shows simply b/c his housey style it too prog and simple for me. but it was a great openner regardless.
G&D... very nice to meet the DJs b4 the event at the pub/bar. Very cool guys... I kik myself in the neck for not remembering a flyer or record slip to get signed, however I'm sure they didn't want to be completely harassed from so much writing b4 the show.
The set was awesome... any set with ATRC makes me happy.. the track sounds so much better in a club.
IM... first time hearing, and like many others i feel infected. Incredible raw and pounding stuff... i wanna get my hands on that orange synth they we using... i'm thinking it's a waldorf er somethin.... incredible sound.. but the set got long and somewhat repetitive at one point. very impressive to say the least tho.
Rank1... what else could you expect... clean, classic joyous trance music of various sorts. If I'm not mistaken, they dropped RVDB-Timeless at one point.... that killed me!!! I'm not sure which remix of Such is Life it was but that was incredible too. Awesome set to leave with.
overall.. great tracks played... i'd love to get these sets as mp3 or cd. simply beautiful!

gabriel and dresden were pretty good but i felt that they could have played much harder than they did last night....infected mushroom was definitely different, but i dont know if i like that style....i was impressed with rank 1 ...never really listened to their stuff, but they played a lot of good tracks in their set, best thing about the night was that there was actually room to dance in the KH...i thought it was going to be really packed the way it was at pvd but luckily there was just enuf room to dance!!
Finally I�m somewhat awake to write my review
First off, I would like to apologize to everyone who did not make it as planned on my list. I�m deeply sorry about what had happen, it was beyond my control and thing got changed without me knowing it.
I'll make it upto you guys
I got the Guvernment around midnight and saw such a huge line going into the main room. By the time I got in front of the Kool Haus, I saw another big line and it was guest/reduced list line. From what I�ve heard from others, the main line got so big, it was wrapped around the whole building at peak time.
Got into the Kool Haus right when G&D came on and lucky me, I got to hear Beautiful Things! In a blink of an eye the KH was getting really busy! Walked around to say �Hi� to everyone and apologized on what happened.

All I got to say was, wow they were prefect for the first headling time slot! Very smooth and all the ladies inside KH were smiling and singing to the vocals! (Corinne) Great set!

I�ve never seen these guys before and heard a lot about them! They were seriously kicking ass! The crowd was diggin� it large! Hard and aggressive!

Talking and chillin� with Piet all night and telling how long we�ve been waiting for them to come and spin AIRWAVE (S) LIVE !(< -- LOL the �S� is for you Trigger LOL) I requested the track to start or end the set! Later on the night, I came back to my area and next thing I know, he tells me to look at the decks and see what track was ready for opening his set. It was indeed, AIRWAVES! From that point I almost fainted.
-ON TO THE SET-
Simply wicked! SOOOOOOOO MANY HADNS IN THE AIR! Little iffy with mixing, but it was the type of trance I was waiting to hear for so long. OLD SKOOL! For so many years I�ve wanted to hear them LIVE, and last night � was a dream come true! Gabriel said: �John, I�ve never seen you smiled so much!�

What an awesome party! Got in with my brother, my cousin and a shitload of other TAs. Made the rounds with the TAs introducing you all to the noobs (my brother who I am totally shocked with his coming). My cousin was having a good time and wants to come to another party like that. As for the sets, Gabriel and Dresden rocked it! Didn't expect them to play as hard as they did later on but wow was it good! (they had to have a segway to IM...). As from what someone mentioned above it was the sweeping strings mix of ATRC that they dropped not the original. The Original is more chilled, no real beat throughout it. On to Infected Mushroom. HOLY #$@$&! they just tore the roof off of the KH. Mad mad relentless beats and synths, couldn't stop dancing except for the latter half of their set when I was too damned tired...as for people saying it was too loud, it was, good thing for earplugs (whew).
Then Rank 1 comes on with Airwave and floors those of us still standing after IM's massacre. Awesome night, awesome fun, awesome people! Shoutouts to those who know who they are (too many to mention...). Nothing else to say.

to make a long story short, truly incredible night never been in KH before and i was amazed by ppl, by music, simply by everything. G&D awesome set. same with IM and Rank1 (nice to hear some classics. i really ejnoyed them all, but Anne Savage stole my show ) yeaaaa thats right. that little blond girl there was so much energy, so many build ups in her set, i just loved that. i couldnt stop jumping lol but than again, its me and im not a huge trance fan (although i really enjoyed KH) i just wanna say thx to all of u guys for making it such a great night

Last night was wicked!
Thanks to Liam for organizing the meetup w/G&D. Last nite, I 'pulled a Dallas" when I didn't take notice as to who Liam's '2 new buddies' were across the table from him. LOL! nice turnout at Scotland Yard- for once, even Swamper showed up.
Got in fairly quickly. Holy shit the sound in the KH was deafening!!! Thank goodness for earplugs!! Broke in my new spelling light toy, since I've been out of commission since PVD (Thanks again, Chris for that wicked x-mas gift!).
Great sets from everyone on the bill. Was surprized to hear "Murder was the Bass" dropped by G&D, just as I was surprized to hear "Street Carnivale" dropped by Piet. I guess since it was Innercity's theme song, but still... G&D had some WICKED tracks, with the exception of "As the rush comes" (will that song PLEASE go away?!?!) Mushroom was doing a great job, but I needed to go check out Anne Savage for a bit. She was BANGING them out- too bad I missed some of her best tunes- hardhouse remixes of "Rock your Body Rock", "Seven Cities" & "Go!" by Moby- I would've LOVED to hear those!!! Then came back to catch another 30 mins of IM, who were really killing it at this point. Got to go on stage for Rank 1's set
(thanks John & Em). Camera wouldn't focus for a bit for some reason, so my pics taken with IM, and LKD & Maxtuh's pics w/Piet came out totally blurry . Piet's friend Barry was really cool. Chatted it up with him a bit. Many unknown tracks dropped by Piet, as well as many Rank 1 classic tunes. He played "Symsonic" at our request. Didn't get to check out any of Mark O, since Graham wanted nothing more than to go home b4 the party was even done.
Had a bit of an after-party chill out over here- was the largest turnout ever. I had no idea THAT many came up from the Michigan/ Indiana area! Ok, well, they look like a huge bunch in this small apartment.... Hanging with those guys was lotsa fun. Several TOTA's over here too- I think about 17 people in here (& 3 cats)total, lol! "Shhh! Inside voices....." Those US kids rock! I had a really good time with them. Too bad Timmy left his wallet here.
Best part of the after-party:
Just b4 the US people left, I called Joy Kitikonti to wish him a happy b-day (turns out I was a day early). I had everyone in the room sing him happy b-day over the phone. He LOVED it, and asked us to sing it again, so he could record it on his phone (so we did it again). Who knows where that will end up....
Too many people to give shout outs to. But a happy belated b-day to Navid.
