I've been on TA for quite awhile now, but I was not a registered member until recently, because I didnt think I need to register. So after i read this thread, I decided to register and maybe i could try to upload the video on my comcast account. I didnt know that i had to wait and check the email from TA, so it took couple days. Anyway, here are my thoughts on this subject:
1) If I have enough space on my comcast account, I'll be happy to put it on my page, so everybody can download the video. I usualy use FTP to upload stuff. I am not quite sure about the bandwith that i have, but the only way to find out is just to upload it on the site and see how much I could get, hopefully enough for everybody to have a chance to download. So if anyone has the video and generous enough to send it to me, i'll do that, maybe you can send it to me through AIM, and if anyone want to get it through AIM, they could get it from me and everyone that wants to do it. My AIM is the same with this TA id.
2)DJ_Laszlo: have you tried to cut the whole video into smaller parts? part 1, 2, 3,4,5,6... etc? then whoever wants to dl the video, they can make a request and create a mailing list for it. If anyone has aol, each can upload some parts, and send to people in that mailing list. I know the maximum size for a file to send through AOL is 16mb, so for that video with 500mb, that'd be a little more than 30 parts, or files. Let's say we have 10 people want to do it, each only needs to upload 3 files, 16mb each. It wont take that long i think.
After you uploaded the files, then save that email, and just forward the same email to whoever wants it, which means you dont have to upload the files every single time. So if Laszlo have time to do that, i have 2 AOL accounts that i could sent the files to people in the mailing list. But this only works if you have AOL account,will not work for Yahoo, Hotmail..etc. If you dont, AIM is the only next way we could do.
3) I'll try to check my account at my school, see how much space/bandwith i have, and will let you know. Meanwhile, I am wondering what happen to people that already have the video? They dont have any comment or dont want to share with other fellow TA members? What's their thoughts on this? lol a song from the BEP, "Where's the love?"
I was gonna go to the WMC today, but for some personal reasons I couldnt make it. So for whoever going to the WMC this weekend, have a blast, dont forget to take pictures/videos and share with us !

Hey, i totally forgot about the whole pw to upload it through FTP, since my FTP just automatically pop up when i log in. Anyway, about the pw, i think it's better if you can send me a private message through AIM or email, or here, and i'll give you the pw. Once you're done, let me know so i can change it.

This one is IMO a lot better than the Sensation Black vid. As I wrote in the Sensation Black video thread - this video will be avaliable on my brothers FTP tomorrow.

BTW: Don't use passive connection, or you won't be able to connect.
ive never done this before. so, i just put the ip in the adress bar and use the login info?
You have to download an FTP client - www.flashfxp.com is what I use and works best for me. After install just go to "Sites => Import Site => and enter the correct details and the Apply => Connect
Also make sure that you aren't using passive mode. Go to Preferences and the to the Proxy/Firewall/Ident tab, and make sure that the "Use passive mode" isn't checked.
