what a fucking night, very good by all accounts, except for the packedness. Good to see everyone again, and to meet those i haven't met before.
sorry, just had to get that in before i die for the day
Great night had by all, good to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones, hope to catch you all again soon.
how was it you ******s...
judgelex was there and i bet he prancin' all night
hahahahah
Sorry to leave you guys so early on but i was feeling pretty rough
Hardwick was spot on, mixing was a little iffy at times but track selection was immense. I spent all week hoping that i'd get to hear to 2 perticular tracks: Arc in the sky - Vaniquer & the morning after. MUHAHA And fuck Hardwick dropped them both!
i feel like poop
and now i have work
Absolutely amazing night, but details have to wait until my body reconstructs.
sardines i hear?
Reaction + tunage thread...
fantastic night, mood enhancers were mint, very busy but it was ok after 230, both matt & pvd played great sets, pvd especially was fucking mint, flawless mixing, loads of crazy hard stuff and all the usual big tunes
what i can remember that got played
pvd
robert nickson - spiral
corderoy - sweetest dreams (ferry corsten remix)
agnelli & nelson - HOTN
blank & jones - wundervoll
mike robbins - are you a freak
pvd - nothing but you (a breaks remix) + TOOL
linkin park - numb
that tune he mentioned in this months mixmag, cant remember the name of it now
water planet - introspection
g & m project - sunday afternoon
st. john vs. locust - mind circles <--- This blew up the place!!!
and a rather gash remix of oceanlab - satelite
met loads of randoms too, but it was great, a really sociable event
Was an excellent Nite, Matt Hardwick was amazing, the best ive seen him for a while!
PVD's set was way better than gods i think!
Was excellent to meet some new faces as well
I have pics, link will appear later, now need sleeeeeep
been there half a dozen times now, and i DON'T LIKE HEAVEN. dance floor is a stupid long thin shape (RAMMED) and some old twat keeps telling u to get up.
pvd's set didn't do much for me :\ remember floor fillers introspection, HOTN & crush. played too 'thuddy' for me though (this might be part of what a "vandit" night actually means - harder german sounding stuff? *shrugs* neway..) , i rpefer it -slightly- faster, and more crisp "bitty". he seemed to be doing a lot of feeling out the crowd for the 1st 90 minutes, the got into a bit of the 'thud' sounding flow for half an hour...i just got worn out of the heavy sound for the last 45 minutes, and found some mates who were cheesed off with the crowding, and had gone into the room upstairs
oh well!!! xx
Gatecrasher @ Heaven
fuck me i enjoyed that. way too busy, hot and loud but still amazing.
big queue to get in but once in matt hardwick was playing some stomping trance, when i went in Velvet Morngin was splaying, i knew it was gonna be a good nite. Couple of dodgy mixes but top tuneage.
Paul van Dyk came on a little late and by then the dancefloor was completely rammed, alot of jockeying for position. The first 90mins of GOD'S set was superb, really thumping tech-trance and the sound system was amzing as were the lights and general atmospehere. Everyone so friendly.
Got a bit bored in the middle of Paul van Dyk's set so had a little explore, its a really small club but there was some good house being played in room 3, hotter than the main room though but nice to give my ears a break from the techno trance downstairs.
The last bit of PvDs set was banging techno with some his own productions and then the ubiquitous trance combo of Sunday Afternoon and Wundervoll at the end which for some reason not many people seemed to enjoy. But what that last song heplayed? Shit on a stick. I know he was bringing the tempo down but I think Adam Sheridan could have easily have played on from that tempo.
Adam strated his set to cheers of Adam, Adam, Adam from the crowd (well me and and few other regualrs from slinky) and played a really boring intro song. I thought the tempo was a bit slow and the mixing poor, i think it was the nerves kicking in, bless. When it got a bit more techier and harder his confidence seemed to improve and then heb played that helicopter intro song and the place went nuts. Left fairly soon after as my legs were not responding and it felt so good to get into my bed.
How gay was the club, those mosiacs of naked men and the semi-naked barmen.
But great nite, all those who didnt go u missed out.
I meant to come over for the meet-up but didnt get til quite late, i bumped into a few of u (i was in the ZOO YORK t-shirt)
tuneage i remember:
Matt H:
Kyau vs Albert - Velvet Morning (Aalto remix)
Firewall - Kilimanjaro
Boss nova - Stone Cold
Endre - Kallocain (Nickson remix)
Miro - By your side
PvD
Robert Nickson - Spiral
Corderoy - Sweetest dreams (Corsten remx)
Matt Hardwick vs smith and pledger - day one
Oceanlab - Satellite (Floran der Haan remix)
Agnelli&Nelson - Holdin onto nothing
PvD - Nothing but you (breaks remix)
PvD - Time of our lives
Water planet - Introspection
Mojrado feat Mr Sam - Naranja
Mike Robbins - Are u a freak
G&M project - Sunday Afternoon (NuNRG remix)
Wolfshein - Wundervoll (Blank and Jones remix)
*edit* also played
PvD second sun - Crush
St John vs Locust - Mind cirlces
E-craig - Beat goes on
Phil green - Tribal trance (i think?)
cant remember much of Adam Sheridan part from the helicopter song
