M.I.K.E- turn out the lights was also played i just remembered that one
and i agree roxy should have got some lasers in there

Looks like all you guys had a really good time....

The track listing looks awesome.

been a year since I heard AVB or been to roxy

Wish I could have made it but being low on cash and lack of anyone ready to drive me from pittsburgh to NYC made it impossible for me to come.

I just think it's funny how nobody can confirm who the opening DJ was

Posted by BxNemo on Apr-11-2004 19:12:

funny thing was that i went to the bathroom and i was next and the guy came next to me and said "can i go ahead of you man?" and i was like "yeah sure go ahead" and then he was like "thanks alot man, i gotta hurry up i'm DJ'ing" and i asked him if he was luke fair and he told me that luke called out and if i remember correctly his first name was steven, john mentioned porter and i think it might of been him.

Actually it was Sean Cusick who opened for Armin

Sean Cusick was playing some old Sasha and Digweed stuff that I thought Id never be able to hear out in a club.Theyre old school progressive/trancey stuff but I loved hearing it in Roxy.I would have love to hear a full night of Sean Cusick some time.

sean plays at filter 14 with christ forter on occasion.

He also spins in Boston sometimes at this club in Brighton called Orange @ The Kells but I never had a chance to get there to see him.

After having a day to recover.... I have to say that was the worst I've ever heard Armin live. He was all over the place... and he never progressed as the night went on. He usually builds his set into some sort of journey, but this was not the case. I can't say I'll be looking forward to his return.

Anthem tunes = teh suck

He had a pretty long day beforehand so I won't hold it against him if he did kind of sucky at mixing and track selection. I think he really WAS just trying to promote for his ASOT 2004 CD.

Was Roxy's sound system improved over the last time when Paul van Dyk came? It sounded great and my ears were fine the next day!

yea i noticed that i guess it was cause i was in the back and im usually in the front

Posted by Pio on Apr-12-2004 01:45:

oh, another thing i forgot to mention. the male:female ratio at the Roxy was pathetic (something like 10 to 1).

Posted by Greedy on Apr-12-2004 01:54:

yea i would have to agree that armin lacked a buildup in the night and just simply rocked the club all night long. But not necessarily a bad thing cuz i dont go clubbing to critique the music like someone that sits behind their computer all day listening to dled music.

my fav song, (yes im lame): Kay D Smith & Marc Tail - Passive Resistance.
