People arent shocked that a politcian lied...

what they are shocked about is the amount of lies, the size of the lies and how quickly the promises were broken (Many on the first day of office!!)

Usually when politicians lie they spread out the damage over the whole term and not six months. And its rarely on issues that are this big..

lies are lies...it could be argued that the state of the books partially forced McGuinty's hand with this budget. So years of "spread out" conservative lies resulted in him making quick, painful changes to his campaign promises...?

This isn't gospel...and it's not even my personal opinion...but it could be argued to be the case.

please excuse me while I barf all over you.

That isn't the Conservative Party...the real Tories didn't join. I could at least vote Tory, but I'll never vote for a western redneck.

its better than voting for a redneck thief (since martin is from windsor)

Four years ago, during the last election, Jean Chretien promised a half BILLION for the Toronto waterfront, and 4 years later nothing has been done, and only 10 million has arrived.

Martin is now promising 142 million, a figure that doesn't even touch the bottom of the barrel that a construction project of such magnitude would require.

And for those ppl that have the Island airport bridge as an issue, despite Toronto and Liberal government claims to the contrary, the billions REGCO is suing the city and the feds for breach of contract will ensure it gets built. They are schedule to start the pillar construction in June.
