Originally posted by Floorfiller in that case you burn the grass around you with the matches so that the fire won't burn there....
here is the rationale behind my 17...
70 -> 30
is a difference of 40
40/70 =.57 or 57%
because the ratio in the demoninator is constant
(i.e. 24 -> 60 = 36 & 60 -> 96 = 36)
the ratio in the denominator should stay the same ??
so
30 x .57 = 17.1 or 17 cows??
ok i saw that you said its wrong, but is that heading in the right direction?
obviously the grass keeps growing over the time that the cows haven't eating it, but i don't know how to put it in numbers...

I have another one. This one is an old one though, many may know it:
While at the funeral of her own mother, she met this guy whom she
did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy
she believed him to be, that she fell in love with him there and
then... A few days later the girl killed her own sister.
Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Originally posted by Resnick i solved it ok u cant just consider cows, or just # days, so i made up a unit called cow_days first one, 70*24 = 1680 cow_days second 30*60 = 1800 cow_days growth = 1800/1680 = 1.07... now, since its linear, 60-24 = 36 so its 24 days + 36 increase = 60days, then + another 36 = 96 days, thats twice the increase, so we double the 1.07 to get overall growth for all 96 days = 1.14 something..* original cow_days which was 1680 = 1920 total cowdays since we have 96 days, divide, 1920/96 = 20 cows

Originally posted by xGirlx Ahhh, that could work. But this is actually a pyschological test and if you are to answer this correctly, then you think like a psycopath. Floorfilla - it's not correct (thank god!). This was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in this test and answered it correctly. I'll tell the answer in a bit but maybe this helps.
