I read some of this thread... and Im gonna throw something in here that I learned in my Anthro class. In the EDM we have lumpers & splitters... lumpers being those people that put edm music into major genres (trance, techno, house, etc.. ), and the splitters being those that take the new style of the genre and labeling it something else (i.e. tech-trance). Some of us find it easier to categorize like this, some of us think its just trance - its all about what you want to consider it. If you were to take a pvd song like... oh i dunno... connected, and replaced the original kicks, with a tribal kick (it would probably sound horrid, but just as an example) people would consider it tech-trance.

I've been interrested for a while in tech trance but i don't know always what the newest releases so if you guys can name a few that would be great

With regards when trance started, I'd say 1988- 16 years ago. It was certainly when the term trance was invented with regards to music- the KLF called their earliest releases Pure Trance Originals, before they remixed them into stadium house or whatever and had massive hits from them.

As for tech-trance, surely it exists. Techno with trancy elements or trance with techno elements. One track that firmly bridges the gap between techno and trance is Mauro Picotto- Pulsar (Picotto Verdi Mix). Try telling me that has nothing to do with techno or trance.
