i met my bf in the park. there was some music playing and i was dancing to it so he introduced himself. so sometimes it pays to walk up to random ppl in the park.

I'm really bad in person. I will be the first to admit that. I only flirt (in person) when I am attracted to someone's personality or looks. I've got a good friend who does the online dating. But the thing is, since she started, she's 'only' been able to meet people online. It's like she's lost all confidence and interest in meeting persons in person. It's kind of sad actually, relying on a computer for your love life, when there's tons of nice guys out there for her to meet and actually start a relationship with. Plus, online, she's not really getting anything at all! She's one of those girls that really wants to get off, but never does because she is going online. Ahh well. I try to help her and set her up with guys. She sometimes just sits in a corner.

Ok....I'll be honest. I have learned throughout my years that when I flirt with people they tend to treat you better. I have proven to myself and to others that you can have some control on how people treat you SOMETIMES. Guys...girls...it doesn't matter. You can be nice all day long, but if you flirt with some people...basically make them feel attractive and interesting...they suddenly feel that way and start acting different. I don't flirt to the point of leading people on and I don't do it to be mean or with ill intentions. I am very direct, but I also know that people like attention...it's that simple. I try to make people feel important during my interaction with them. Even if they bore the hell out of me I try to find a way to make them interesting. When I actually like someone they know.

Go ahead and flame me.

EDIT: I am using the word flirt very lightly here. Don't overanalyze what I wrote. I don't mean that I come on to people...not at all.
