No, it was actually quite popular. We had 2 main rooms, the UKTA and TA room, I'm not sure about the TA room, but the UKTA one is still going.

Tiesto has lot's of co-producers working for him I'm sure , if I remember correctly his Elements of Life had this Geert Huinink guy on it.

Still , if you listen to his classics , like Suburban train or Nyana , they always have that particular hi hat pattern , perhaps that's a proof of his production style , or..

But he ripped off Traffic from Sean Deason's Psykofuk , and ..

Well just look over here.

I've desperately searched for the #UKTA chat, but I've turned up nothing. Some help would be appreciated

I'll see if I can dig up the server name.

he said that he has no time to produce right now, he has a team that makes the tracks and he coproduces with them but is obvious that Richard Durand sounds now like Tiesto when was in Black Hole. Most big names have some kind of collaboration

The first 2/3's of it is a really boring essay about his past. He made his first record back in '96. Met Tisto in '98. Did a remix request for him, passed the test and they started working together intensively.

This lead to the production of the first Tisto-album in 2001. The two of them worked on the production and composition, there is a small group that does miscellaneous stuff (guess that'd be Huinink and the like) but he and Tisto are the ones that are responsible for the end result. Tisto calls them "The Band". His contract allows him to work with others or for himself, but he doesn't have the time. And according to him they make a great team anyway so it makes sense to bundle forces.

Also, he doesn't consider the music they make to be trance. "It's much broader, with influences from classic, pop and rock." Yeah, really unique there.

I've got 3 names for ya:
1. Hans-Willem Mallon
2. Dennis-Waakop Reijers
3. Geert Huinink

Period.

There is not a single artist in the world who can do tracks completely alone.

Is this a fact?

I'm going to put my life at stake here....

but,

Axwell.
Deadmau5. (maybe steve duda for sound design now and then).

Two big name examples I can think of.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Sep-13-2010 01:35:

AvB frequently co-produces with Benno De Goeij from Rank 1.

But I think you're probs right about PvD, and I'd bet ATB also sails the solo boat too.

Posted by Rodri Santos on Sep-14-2010 12:25:

Above & Beyond is almost as coproducing... they are 3.
