John OO fleming craps all over marco v and matt harwick plays the same if not better than pvd. He is extremely underated

To be fair they all get the croud going and the atmosphere is ace, but, ive seen all of them live and armin never plays the same way, or the same style tunes as he does when on ASOT.

I find in ASOT it sounds as if he really is playing all the right tunes which all go well together, when he plays live it seems as if he just tries to fit in all the latest stuff with mayb a few less bigger tunes.

Im not too keen on some of the vocal tunes he plays, mainly cause most of the tunes (not all some are wicked) the ones he does play seem abit cheesy.

One Dj who does seem to stick to decent, moody sets with tunes that all work 2gether is Jon'o'bir, he usually plays at the start b4 armin and really gets ppl going, then armin comes on with his arms in the air singing along to sum new cheese tune (at Air in Birmingham).

#1 Marco V craps all over John Fleming

#2 you asked me to list 10 productions not 10 that were better than anything by Marco V because nothing he did is better...well, maybe alpha 5 was better than visions, but other than that Marco V rules...especially anything by Marco V and Benjamin.

My favorite by Marco is the Marco V and Benjamin remix of Southern Slam by an unknown artist....i have it on white label and it is sooooooooooo good.

You laugh sandstorm03 but honestly when i see him play at Air he always plays bigger stuff, mayb its cause its a new residency for him there and hes polluting my view of him by playing bigger tunes to sell more tickets for Air?

Ive also seen him at some big events like gatecrasher at NEC arena Brum and same thing.

amuse me and post a tracklist

Posted by daeus on Jun-19-2004 16:44:

I honestly couldnt write a whole tracklist but its not just the tunes he plays its tunes he chooses to mix in a set, u know the types of tunes like motocycle - as the rush comes, good tune but plays he it out of sync with other tunes he plays (not out of sync as in the beats but out of sync with the flow of the set)

i thought it was obvious?... on ASOT [not that i listen] big tunes get dropped as it sa radio station, and thats what ppl want to hear. at an event you 2 hours of set to flow your set so the more proggyer tunes come out, and drop the big tunes as and when you need them, i.e. 1 or 2 at the start to let the crowd know youve come on the decks.. then flow for an hour then perhaps drop another biggy, back to flow for another 30 mins, then climax with more biggys. or atleast thats my perception of a perfect set, or how it should be worked. if you play anthem after anthem in a club the crowd will get bored and your not really proving any skill

Posted by daeus on Jun-19-2004 17:03:

Well hes crap if he dosnt play tunes that sound good next to eachother watever it is, big tunes sound good with other tunes, dosnt mean u can just wak it in anywhere.

Anyone else want to say anything ? lol

Armin is a god. The last set he played in Jan in Melb (6hrs) was amazing. I'm still listening to it sometimes now which is saying a bit because I tend to get over things fairly quickly

Lets face it, all Dj's have thier off days...If you were spinning damn near every night of the week, as well as travelling internationally, you would have your off days too...

+ you're statement was incorrect, that's why i reacted.

and for the record, i was not praising him, i was just giving you some information on the show, as apparently you don't know anything about it.
