Oasis are original, its just that many people only hear their tracks that make it onto radio, wonderwall is a great song, truly original, and just because it got played a shit load on the radio doesn't mean its bad.
So much RCHP stuff is more pop-esque than Oasis!
Oasis have so much depth and originality in their other stuff that doesn't make it to radio!
Don't judge them based on superficial knowledge, listen to some of their lesser know stuff and then you will see how much better than RHCP they are - just listen to "The Masterplan" album - in terms of originality and just all round brilliance.
I seriously cannot believe Oasis are going to lose this poll.

That's not how it seems in Australia!
UK Chart Hits Database
^ Up until the beginning of 2002. Type in Oasis and then Red Hot Chili Peppers and see who gets the most hits.

I'm proving they're far more commerical, which was one point I made that everyone disagreed with. RHCP started back in 1984, yet they only even got vaguely close to as commercial as Oasis in 1991.

the last red hot chilli peppers concert in the UK was a few months ago, and was at hyde park. they did a publicity deal with bbc radio one (the second biggest radio station in the uk (second to bbc radio 2 which is for older music)) where radio one advertised the chilli's concert, and played a chilli's track every hour, plus gave away tickets, and relayed the gig live on the radio.
it doesnt get any more commercial than that.
RHCP. No competition there.

CLEARLY the Chilipeppers........Oasis is cool and stuff, but the guys in it are really conceited, and they try too hard to be the Beatles. they need to find their own style.
They're both very mainstream rock music, get over it.
That doesn't make either of them any less good.
Oasis - Stop the clocks
this tune is gonna be massive, hopefully it will make all you RHCP fans realise how good Oasis are!!
i think we've lost this one, damn clueless yanks
