Posted by [mart] on Jul-25-2004 09:35:

Heh, dunno if you overlooked me. I might have to extend the intro a bit to make it easier to mix, but:

Echano - Tranquility (Summer 2004 Rework)

You've got it already unless you deleted it.

Posted by pho mo on Jul-26-2004 02:53:

Looks like you've got some excellent tunes there, far better than my own efforts. But I may as well join in the fun and submit my latest tune anyway :

hive -[p.e.g]

thanks It isn't quite as fast paced as Alphazone, but I'm getting there. It's quite a bitch since their energy doesn't come from the BPM (most of their tracks are at 140 which is the AVG trance speed) it comes from the production..

Read This!

One would like to submit:

Chris Shepherd - Touch Of Ice (Dub Mix)

Link is:

RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS

Hey gang,

Well, my Fireflies track didn't make the cut, but that is okay (just makes me want to do better). I have entered another original track of mine called Cloudy Day. I have included the link for ya...

Right Click, Save Target As...
Absolute Fahrenheit - Cloudy Day

Good luck everyone!

~T.

I've got other things in my life as well, you know. Just keep your eyes peeled, it will be updated tonight.

Edit:
Ok, there we go.

Posted by Bren-F on Jul-26-2004 22:43:

Nik, check your PM's - I've sent you the link to my latest track

I've decided to submit my new track 'Open Air' instead of 'Nothing True' Due to the fact that Nothing True still needs loads of work & Open Air is far better

The whole track sounds very messy and all the synths have a very distinct "software feel" to them.

THE RULES
8) When submitting tunes, only put 1 down at a time. We are not going to go through your entire back catalogue to see what fits. If your first tune gets rejected, then try another.

1) We're looking for about 20-24 tunes, so be quick. The goal here is to do two 80 minute mixes, depending on the amount of quality tracks of course.

Question.

Are you planning to give the mixes different styles? One harder trance, one softer trance, or so? I liked the idea of one mix myself, but that one mix doesn't fit on a cd...

People may find one mix better than the other, and e.g. cd2 gets abandonned. You gonna zip them together I guess?

Just wondering

Well the distribution part isn't quite clear yet but yeah, the idea here is to do one more chilled mix and the other one more uplifting/hard.

Cool

its not about the synths, it's how you use them. the arrangement was very messy and the whole track did not work as a whole, there was very little eq/fx on anything and it would have sounded in tune with the other productions there, take your time, post in the forum and get feedback on your tracks.

if more ppl whine about this i will just delete your posts, if this is going to get on TA like 2 did, the emphasis must be on quality over quantity so don't take offence

software can sound quite good with proper use.

Vs. hardware, no, it doesn't sound as good.

but it CAN sound good and "not software like" it's just hard to get it to sound as phat as hardware..
