-- Armin Vs. M.I.K.E Presents Electric Movement - Intruder/Pound

Having Armin and MIKE together in the studio, you would expect an uplifting trance monster being created.
I'm glad the result is anything but that!
With all the uplifting trance we get trhown at us (some are excellent, most are loads of crap), some fresh banging tech-trance tunes are most welcome. Just like MIB - Keep Pushin' is another great intelligent stomper.
I was at Antwerp is Burning when MIKE played Intruder. I didn't know what it was at that time, but I was so glad to hear such a banger coming from MIKE. And nobody was able to stand still! Everyone was dancing!
Keep the fresh innovating tunes coming, guys!
Pretty mixed reviews I'm seeing here...
I think Intruder is a solid track, nice and energetic, builds well. Not Mike's best work but it doesn't disappoint either, I can definitely feel his influence more than Armin's (thankfully, because I'm a much bigger fan of Mike than Armin.) Pound is a bit weaker, maybe it'll grow on me. For now it seems a bit of a B-side filler.
I'm glad both producers did something different from their best-known styles, to be honest I think if they both tried to make something anthemic with a big riff, their styles wouldn't gel together very well and it would sound a bit all-over-the-place...
Intruder wasnt that special too me. Tried it several times, never did anything for me..
but POUND on the other hand...holy crap! Such an absolute stormer. Genious in its simplicity. And it holds true to itīs name, it really pounds through your entire body.
Man I wish I could hear this one live, I think it would be absolutly amazing and I imagine the sight of 100's, maybe 1000s of people slowly wobbing to the beat..standing still in a perpetual status que, like a photography of time...the adrenaline slowly wearing out, heartbeats on hold...waiting for that release...like runners in the olympics...and when that climatic beat kicks in, like an injection of pure adrenalin into everyones heart, arms in the air and that sight of a still photo turning into a sea of people jumping up and down...
holy crap that is good...when your standing in the back of the crowd and they fade out the lights and you only see silhuettes of people waiting...and then full lights and you see everyone going complete nuts...

intruder should only be played out very very loud. and in front of thousands of people. like armin and tiesto do. pretty sure it will do something to you hearing it live... pure peak time power

didnt like it @ first...but now im impressed by both tunes.
intruder is a monster on the dfloor!
hmm intruder guess its not my style even though i love armin...
Intruder is massive, love it. Excellent breakdown and this tune does absolute wonders in any liveset. Helps set the mood perfectly.
Don't know if this was mentioned before, but Pound has been remixed by Andy B. (remember "Ocean Drive"?) and Mellow-D, it's released on the german pressing on Cookies'n'Cream Recordings.
Check a sample of the remix here.
Haven't heard something trancy from Mellow-D in quite some time (recent releases all were under his Mellow Trax alias)...if you still know the last Mellow-D releases you instantly recognize his influence here. Andy B. played the remix recently at a local club, and it really rocks!
Intruder is awesome, I love how they took the typical trance structure and modified it.
This tune is medicore at best. If Armin's name wasnt on the cover of the vinyl I stongly beleive this would never see the light of day. Text book trance with very slight elements of originality. Armin could do better.
4.5 /10
The build up in Intruder in awesome. Seriously, I don't care if Armin's name is on this choon or not, it's MASSIVE in the club.
8.5/10
Ive heard them both in the club and Pound is deff my favorite of the two.

I like the overall sound/style of Intruder but there isn't really enough variation in it imho... it's all a bit simple. Also that first point when the main synth noise starts building (between about 3:10 and 3:40) is awesome but when the track kicks back in it's just... meh. There's no real peak point and it gets boring after a while
Haven't heard Pound yet... well, actually I have, when I was at Dance Valley this year, but can't remember how it went or anything.
As for MIKE's best guise... Solar Factor
the German release of Armin vs. M.I.K.E. pres. Electric Movement Intruder/Pound contains a Remix of Pound:
Armin vs. M.I.K.E. - Pound (Andy B & DJ Mellow-D Remix)
it's kinda uplifting... For my choice better than the original

A collision of two of the biggest name in the scene.....
....yet kinda dissapointing.....
Intruder is probably the best one.....if I had to choose....
I expected better from such outstanding producers and djs....
both good tunes..but hearing the name "intruder" gives me a bad feeling in my rectal area
