Yes i saw what Astral was up to and it kinda ruined the buzz for me, but i just left KH until they were done. Remember one thing our scene is about tolerance and just having fun (yes they may have taken things a little too far) but lets not make this into an all out TOTA war over what happened. Let it be and be happy we all had fun enjoying whomever we went to see.

What a great night.....
I had an amazing time...MArco V rocked, of course and M.I.K.E. was awesome. As for AP, well they were a bit on the hurting side, as that has already been determined. So instead went and saw some of Dave Ralph, he too was ripping it up in the guv.

Meet a lot of other TA's......nice meeting you all and we will party again soon.

Brian (Vtech_junkie)...I think that was my shocker of the night seeing you in the KH...haha, had a great time partying with you again...see you at LOL.

ehheheh, i personally don't care what they were doing... i just think their music is shite

I thought it was especially funny when one of them picked up mikes final scratch vinyl i guess it was, and he basically grabbed it away from him and told him to fuck off or whatever hehehe. respect to him.

AP are just straight up 12 year olds.

I was a lil disappointed in M.I.K.E.
k, is trance at an all time low that we have to listen to old anthems ...we know he was involved in producing those wonderful tracks but they've been played and heard....and the last mp3 live set I heard from M.I.K.E. was from last year and it was amazing with maybe one or two tracks of his...overall I was disappointed but for 15 bucks it was worth it ....unless I was impressed...then I would've thought I got a deal....but yeah ...you could kinda feel the tension in the air when Anal Projection was cutting into M.I.K.E.'s time slot...but then M.I.K.E. cut the cord early and almost had to beg for a cheesey encore...

all i can say is to each there own to that comment...personally i'd be having the best nite of my life listening to nothing but the classics...because unfortunately for me, i never got to hear most of them back in the day since i didn't get into the scene until 2001, and didn't really start going to clubs til 2002...so when i hear all the old classics, i just love it!!!...and trance isn't at an all time low at all, there is sooo much quality stuff out nowadays which is great to...but i hate how ppl give djs a hard time when they play old songs...like wtf? old songs brought us to where we are today and why we love what we do...

Words cannot describe how fucking much we got owned!!! We got our asses served to us Canadian style. Like Vlad said in the other thread....Mark Oliver owned, Marco V FUCKING OWNED!!!, MIKE owned!!! The music and vibe was wicked all night. And since alot of peeps went to the WEMF....there was alot of room to dance and it was not even close to being packed.

Big thanks to Joey for being a trooper and driving the whole way there and then back to Pittsburgh Out of the whole crew that went up....I was the only one that has been to Guv before so it was great showing everybody what they have been missing.

We got into Toronto a big late due to customs searching the whole car (set us back 45 min) Met up with FlamStrike, madhattared, Amy, Joanna, Janette, and Kasper. Got to Guverment around 12....no line thanks to John for the guest list!!! Chilled in KH till they opened Guv up and thats when Mark Oliver began to rip shit up. Holy focking shit.....Beastie Boys - Fight for your right (JXL REMIX!!!) Tears for Fears - Shout
Marco V showed up in KH around 12:30 and we all got to chat with him before he went on and even got a group shot with him. Marco destroyed us all with his hard tech trance sound. SOOOO many sick tracks!!! Three times so far this year and Marco has not disappointed me yet. Astral Project was alright....nothing special here.....and since I seen them last week @ Nation I didn't really get into their set. MIKE aka Push really impressed me.....so much better than his set @ Mansion in March. Hearing Universal Nation and Strange World by the man himself was AMAZING!!! Big props to MIKE also.....first time playing out on final scratch and his mixing was great. We got a few words in with MIKE after his set....what a down to earth guy.....took the time to answer some questions from the TA's and then took a group shot with us all.

Shout outs....of course the NYTA's that make the trip up....Vlad, Sergio, and Joey (what a great focking time guys....and I can't wait to do it all over again for Labour of Love!!!)wouldn't have been the same without you guys!!! Jonathan and Amanda (Im so glad you guys came...you guys rock and its always a great time when you guys are around ) John....thanks again for the guest list bro, tha_broad and Dr.GoodVibe (nice seeing you guys again ) Danielle (dnmr) and Carney...you guys are awesome and I can't wait to party with you guys again @ LOL. Tordan...nice meeting you man and its glad to see somebody like yourself from Toronto that really appreciates Guvnment. Monish...glad you came out man. Had a fantastic time! Marco V was wicked, Astral was ok, never knew what to expect from "psy" so I was glad to find out what it was exactly, and Push was great, thanks to John I knew some of their tracks b4 hand and that was nice

Marco V - definately the best set i've heard all summer... there must be something in the water over in Amsterdam because these dutchman seriously know how to bring it! in my opinion his set was flawless... AMAZING energy, great crowd interaction and the perfect set to "pop the cherries" of several of my friends who had never seen a dj live before....

Astral Projection - had no idea what to expect from these guys.. i enjoyed their set but a few things did bother me. I actually thought it was quite amusing watching them drink straight from the bottle, with no chaser, haha.. but the insane amount of trainwrecks and tracks skipping really made it difficult to get into the set. i'd be really getting into the music but suddenly the music was just "off".. or the volume would get all distorted as if somebody accidently bumped into the switch/knob or something. not sure if it was because they were too drunk or too busy partying with their friends in the booth but oh well, dj's like to party too it seems

the vibe last night in kool haus was incredible, and it just boggles my mind why tiesto/pvd/sasha weren't held in the same venue!! i would think this would be common sense but there must be some other factors at play here...

onto my review....first i want to thank John for guestlist.
Marco V played a banging set throughout, loved the flow.
AP was not my style so didnt check them out really, but they acted like crack heads from what i saw.
Caught some of Mike's set but by the time he came on, i was exhausted from a long day and Marco V destroying us earlier on.

Inviting 10 drunk people to the DJ booth calls for trouble, and if it wasn't for the bouncer there'd be at least 15 people there by the end of the night. You know what happens when so many people are in the DJ booth ? "Technical difficulties" - that's what happens.

BTW, I did enjoy their set. Astral Projection is probably the reason I'm listening to Trance now.

While I'm at it I might as well write a full review of this party.

Came to the party tired and exhausted, not having slept since friday morning. Wandered around until Dekoze came on. He played allright, but I was too dead to enjoy.

Then.. Marco V comes on. The place goes nuts ! I honestly haven't seen Kool Haus go nuts like this EVER! And that craziness continued pretty much until the end of the night. Fuckin' AWESOME, especially compared to Friday night at WEMF, where nobody was dancing. Marco V played a great banging tech-house/tech-trance/techno set. It was slightly monotone, but still outstanding !

Astral Projection came on around 2:30. I enjoyed their set, hearing all those classics(Mahadeva, Let there be light) on a great sound system was awesome. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, their behaviour left much to be desired - so I was somewhat dissapointed with them.

Mike was on around 4:30. Absolutely brilliant ! I always knew that Mike was an awesome producer, but I was kind of sceptical about his DJing skills. My specticism was proved unjustified. Mike delivered an awesome set with great mixing. Hearing all those classics from the man himself - it was incredible !

Too bad Kool Haus was shut down around 6:20. I wouldn't mind another hour of Mike's set
