In order to run in lemans there has to be a certain amount as a minimum of that for sale to the public. Just like the guy across the lake from me owns the first VIPER GTSR they released, i have witnessed a C5-R driving around Seattle. They cost something around 550k in 2001 hence their being for sale.

that would be why it's a 300C. And with the HEMI engine in it, you can't go wrong.

for some reason i still thought they had the 300m name. my bad. hemi is just hype.

BTW my buddy chuck pulled a 9.59 in his busa, and he isnt a pro rider, and his buddy on a lowered purple n silver busa ran a 8.63 at 152 MPH with a 1395 CC NA engine. and no wheelie bar. yes the busa is fast, but that is simply irrelevant to the topic of cars.

yea i knwo this about cars but hey i am a bike fan man so i just had to put that they are the best but hey your friend doin a 9.59 i give his props (was that stock) and your other buddy what kinda poer is he putting out?

The black one is stock, Dual pipes and all. The purple n Silver one wont tell me anything he's done to it. Like all car guys, he wants to keep his power his secret. He's switched over to a single pipe to save a few pounds, like i said it is 1395 CC *the new busa is about this as well* air shifter, and a couple of other tricks. ALL motor.

Yeah like the V8 M3... but that's not REALLY for sale.

what? no one would get anywhere in the tuning industry if there wasnt information...

if he did it, someone did it before him and thats where he got it - if he has a penis he wouldnt hide the shit if he was a true racer. a haya is a drag or top speed bike anyways, and people looking for an all around package wouldnt get anything so bloated despite the top speed.

Posted by getfoul on Aug-02-2004 07:17:

we're just now seeing the technology they used in top fuel and nascar a decade or so ago. You're saying that they should openly share what they did to their cars before the race? wait a while, let people figure it out for themselves, if not wait till you've done something better then tell them your old secrets.

technology and tuning is a nitch market, if you have an advantage in tuning you dont go sporeading it eerywhere, you keep it a secret and do your lil tricks that no one else can do to make more money.

he never said stock twins

its pretty easy to get 1000hp from twins, if you have the cash. Twin HKS GT3037's will do that, but of course you'd need uprated internals, transmission, fuelling etc etc.

opn the subject of the mustang...its sooooo cheap!!! It would cost (if you did a straight USD to GBP exchange) around 13,000 pounds! Unfortunately, the importers who will bring it over here will bring it back up to around 20,000 pounds (which is around $33,000) For 13,000 and a decent V6 rear drive car, you can't go wrong. Here are some comparison cars...

Honda civic type-r (16,000 pounds, 199 bhp, fwd)
Seat Leon Cupra - R+ (18,000 pounds 225 bhp, fwd)
Ford Focus RS - (22,000 pounds, 215 bhp, fwd)
VW Golf R32 - (expensive (cant remember price or chp or drive )

mustang = bargain

Mitsubishi FTO GPX = 8000pounds, 200bhp, fwd = BARGAIN

i don't like fwd

Nissan 200SX S13 - 170 bhp RWD = 1000pounds - 2000 pounds
Nissan 200sx S14 and S14a - 200bhp RWD = 3000-5000 pounds
Modified S14 and S14a = at least 300bhp = 5000-7500 pounds

can you guess what my next car is

I don't like FWDs either, which is why I have 2 of the above mentioned cars(TA S13/S14 ALLIANCE!)
BUT the S13(called a 180sx here) is a 2.0litre(the SR20DETT) and puts out 153kw stock(205hp) NOT 170hp. I think you're reffering to the 1.8 litre CA18DETT S13

The S14 uses the same SR20DETT engine, but revs 1000 less =\

PICS:
Me at the carwash:

Yep, that's a lancer evo 6

Parked in the driveway

The S13

The S14 has a freeflow exaust and the boost wound up to 16psi. I;m guessing output would be around 235hp. I'm working on the S13s exhaust(it's stock) but the boost@16psi too.

Posted by Audio Beverage on Aug-02-2004 11:10:

Oh yeah, here's a pic of that lancer I ran into at a show:

Posted by dj_mdma on Aug-02-2004 14:21:

yeah in europe we don't get the 180SX

we only get the poncy CA18DET, but at least it has a stronger top end than the SR20 (don't mention the bottom end! )

baaaadaaaasss cars for drifting

Posted by dj_mdma on Aug-06-2004 15:00:

here are a few pics of some cars at a meet...before we went to terrorise the town by street racing...

Nice Clean RX7, with the same Volks Rims as on your S13

One of my mates just fitted a tubular manifold to his S14a before we hit the streets. His car is running around 350bhp by our estimates, but he hasn't had it dyno'd yet. Mods include Blitz Nur Spec exhaust, Hybrid FMIC, brand new Garrett roller bearing T-28 at 16 psi, tubular manifold, cold plugs and Apexi Power FC

I hope you've got an intercooler and cold plugs to go with that exhaust when you put it on, no one likes to see an engine go pop!
