well, my reasoning for the 'time joined' mention is that, if you are on a forum for long enough, you actually do make a fair few friends, hell, the ukta bunch I've met loads of times, I even met my current gf of 11 months through TA.

forums are a great way for friends who dont live near eachother to stay in fairly close contact, i even get to chat to mates back in south africa easily with em.

now doing or not doing drugs is not something i have a problem with, but when someone who doesnt know me or the people i know and love, automatically judges us and places us in a certain category (in this case one that makes you sick) based on ONE aspect of our lives, it kinda annoys me.

drugs are not bad at all (with an exception of H) ... its just ppl that are weak and cant resist ... i do it occasionally and gotta say you really feel the music then ... i mean really FEEL .... and i dont regret i have tried XTC & friends even though i know i will always be a little bit unsatisfied when partying without it .... cause im getting only plain bread instead of a cake ... but ...thats life isnt it

well i would probably need at least 10 years to find out certain things about myself that i have realized in the 1st year of my partying on XTC & Co. And yes ... i exxagerated a little bit in that year, but know i really really know myself way way better ...

the funniest thing is ... that after 1st time partying on ATS (amphetamine type substances) it really is like another doors opeden in yoursef ... even if you later party without it ... u are able to hear and listen to the music in some deeper way ... i know it sounds weird ... but thats the way i have experienced it

I dont have a problem with smoking a joint when i have the chance, but thats not linked with edm at all.

As far as ecstasy goes, im not old enough to go clubbing, but i might give it a try if i knew the person i was getting it from, and knew that it would be pure mdma (and whatever they use to make it into a pill) not laced with amphetemines, or coke, or worst of all crystal meth (do they lace that with ecstasy? I dunno)

Oh yeah...and in regards to whoever it was who said ecstasy adds emotion to a djs set...No, it just fucks it up. I really dont know anyone who djs better when on E. Not many djs do E during a set...the only one i can think of who might off the top of my head would be "keoki"...need i say more? Coke seems to be choice for djs though, but i wouldnt try that.

and good E is usually a mix of mdma and caffeine, or mdma and speed. coke is too expensive to cut with. i have seen some with crystal in them before, also mdea, pma, mda, ct-7 etc etc

get a pilil test kit, it can at least tell you what is or isnt in it.

as for djs that dont spin fucked up. alot of djs choose not to do drugs but take danny howles for instance, or even jon the dentist for that matter. talk about fucked up... jon the dentist has been known to get so fucked that he cant spin anymore and just puts on a mix cd, danny howles i have seen so basted that he threw on a bathroom track and came out of the booth, danced with us for a couple minutes, grabbed a girl (i think its his wife) threw her over his shoulder and brought her back up to the dj booth.

drugs are a personal preferance. i started partying sober, and i continue to party sober. but every now and then if im in the mood i drop, and never look back to regret it (although i dont reccomend E as a study aid... really really bad idea :P)

Well, im no drug expert, so ill admit i dont know what im talking about. But i was just talking about something like here http://www.dancesafe.org/labtesting/ where youll see some are pure MDMA (very few though) And others say they contain Methamphetamine

hehhe ... what the hell got into you to take XTC as a study aid :P ... if u want to study on drugs (i dont recommend it, but if you lack time that can be the only solution )--- SPEED is the answer

EDM was always about the music for me.

It can be a bit disconcerning to go to a concert or play a gig and see a crowd on drugs. As a DJ and a music fan it bothers me to think that maybe the drugs and not the music are creating the pleasure and excitement for those listening. I am a strong advocate of drug free music enviroment.

Electronic Dance Music is my drug.
