Ronaldinho was cheaper for Bara for example. is Raul able to play for the next game?

Jonathan Woodgate will not rush his return to action but feels he could be ready to make his Real Madrid debut this month. The classy defender left Newcastle fans in a state of shock when The Magpies sold him to Real Madrid in August. Woodgate sealed the formalities of his move despite carrying a long-standing thigh injury and he is still not yet fit to make his debut. The England international has started running but is not going to rush his return to action. "I am just starting to run, which is good," he told Sky Sports News. "I am not putting a timescale on it, but hopefully I will be back playing soon. "I would like to think I could be back by then (September). "They don't want to rush me, because they don't want it to reoccur again, which is a good thing. "I am doing a lot of work. I am in in the morning, then back at night, with a rest in the afternoon. They are working me hard, which I enjoy." Woodgate admits his move to Real Madrid came out of the blue. "I was in Munich seeing a specialist over in Germany about my thigh," he said. "My agent called me saying Real Madrid are going to bid for you. "I could not believe it. I was overwhelmed. I was injured and the last thing on my mind was going to Real Madrid. "I was gobsmacked at first, and I thought it was a wind-up, but was over the moon when I found out it was true." Woodgate feels he will find the language barrier harder to overcome than adapting to playing in La Liga. "The language barrier is going to be hard," he commented. "But to be honest I will enjoy it. "Some of my friends are going to learn and my mum and dad and my sister, so hopefully I will have it sussed soon." |
they got soooooo much money in this team that i think it will be like last year!!! they will do good for a bit...but once the pressure comes and they start to slip a little bit they will get pounded (remember the back stretch of last season?? they were getting man handled in spanish league)
once u have so many amazing allstars...when the team isnt playing all that well players try to take matters into their own hands...that means they might be out of possition to try to do more than what they are supposed to...
in other words sooner or later they will get burned on a counter attack!
I think now with Woodgate they have really addressed their defensive problems but they still don't have much strength in depth in defence and Woodgate is very injury prone, unless the Real Madrid medical team can do a better job with him than ours did.
Woodgate and Samuel in central defence means that Helguera can move back into defensive midfield which is where he is best.
---------------Casillas-----------------
Salgado----Samuel---Woodgate----R.Carlos
---------------Helguera-----------------
----Figo--------Beckham---------Zidane---
------------Raul----Ronaldo--------------
With players like Morientes, Owen, Guti and Solari on the bench they are as always more than covered for attacking options, but their defensive subs will be shite like Pavon and Raul Bravo.
i think beckham would be in right side and zidane would be in center, isn't it right?
real likes to put beckham in the middle....altho he got injured today playing against poland!

I can't find any English sites reporting this but I found this from the Spanish media today:
It says that Woodgate is being investigated for possession of cocaine and that this may explain why Newcastle decided to sell him so quickly.

what a poor display of class shown by Real Madrid in the champions league match today against Leverkusen!!
u have a team that is made of money...and 3 top players sit down!!! zidane (altho he was injured) figo...and Ronaldo!! ewww what a game...
good job by JACEK KRZYNOWEK...what a very good game..!!
i dont have Real Madrid and im not here to flam but its unacceptable what they showed...last 3 games they only scored 1 goal..and Raul hasnt scored since January
woahahahahahahaha
Espanyol beat Real tonight 1-0.
One of the craziest games I have seen. Only saw the highlights but commentators said the refs almost looked payed off. 3 penalties given to Real, Carlos got 2 yellows but didnt leave the field, and they were given 6min ET. Doesnt matter in the end as they lose again! YEAH!
