What an absolute balltearer of a night!

Poor Gas, they'd just gotten the roof properly re-attached after Adam Beyer and Marco V, and then Nu-NRG just blew it straight back off!!

Apparently the broadcast finished at 2am, though Nu-NRG kept playing until about 2:45. Definitely played a remix of U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name, and a remix of Ton TB - Dream Machine. They finished it off with Connective, Free Fall, and Dreamland.

Can't wait to see them again, hopefully we won't be waiting another 3 years to see them again

Cam you played damn good as well, though fuck Bexta for kicking you off

Guys,

My photos of the night are up @ http://www.inthemix.com.au/photos8/041016-nunrg

Was a wikkid night. Their setup was quite different to what I was expecting (1st time I got a good look @ it). Their set was a lot harder then what I heard in Berlin!

It was an awesome night, my first time seeing Nu Nrg perform and enjoyed every bit of it. The sound system was heaps better, much clearer than when PvD was at GAS and Steve Helstrip, hearing is back to normal already :P

Got my connective vinyl signed,

this is me http://www.inthemix.com.au/photos8/041016-nunrg/abe had to hold that vinyl all night, didn't want to risk missing the opportunity to get it signed like last time when PvD was at GAS.

I've had a sleep and a bit of time to recover....fell asleep at Central Station waiting for the Nightride to Hurstville I woke up just as it arrived though :P

What a night! I walked in to the sounds of Rank 1 - Awakening and i knew i was in for a good night. I walked around for a while by myself and grabbed a drink, absorbing the atmosphere. Eventually i found some people i recognised...the TA shirt was helpful

Great to meet all the people that i did, you were all heaps friendly and i look forward to partying with you soon. TAs were certainly going off front and centre! I should have got there a bit earlier so i could have a chat to you guys...it was hard to hear!

Nu Nrg:
hmmm i don't know how i mistook Connective for The Eternal, i even wrote it in my phone, but anyway, it was a SWEET track. I loved all the live edits of tracks they were doing....it is the first time i have seen a PA. Those breakbeat sections they were adding were AWESOME, and i loved how they held the melodies off a bit and the BANG! They destroyed the place.

Cameron's set was great, there were plenty of tracks i haven't heard before...but....VOODOO PEOPLE!!!!

I'm going to have to buy it on vinyl, such a classic track.

Cheers all.

haha nice shot baz

was a great nite! nu nrg were awesome as expected, i loved every minute of it had a nice chat to them earlier on after interviewing them and were really nice to talk to (even though their english wasnt too good at times) some of the stories they told me were classic!! hehe

i enjoyed the other sets as well until bexta came on later and the music got a bit too hard

here is a pic with me and the guys

sounds like everyone had an absolute blast. Really couldn't make it, as I have been so sick due to really bad hay fever and uni has reached its ultimate climax with essays and presentations. Connective, Astralis and Free fall would have literally sent me insane so really spewing that I couldn't make. Hope to catch up with you guys soon

Had heaps of fun on saturday night and Nu NRG really did go off.

Glad they played for 2 hours cause i dont think 1hr would have really done them any justice and full credit to Cam for just going with the flow. Im sure he wouldnt have minded if they played the rest of the night (bexta might have been a different story )

Good to see so many of you out in force. i dont think ive seen that many addicts in one place. Good to get that trance hit together then

Jumping jacks set was awsome and so was Camerons. Really made the night flow alot more i thought.

Nu NRG lived up to all my expectaions. Was pretty hard which is what i was after. Random Walk The Mind, Dreamland when i kicked it and a few tracks i didnt even know existed until saturday.

Tryed talking to them later on but they didnt understand much of what i was saying (maybe it was just me). Anyway nice guys and i hope its not another 2-3 year wait before they return again.

Yea wicked night!

I was plesently suprised Not the biggest nu-nrg fan but the impressed me with their live peformance, playing around with the tracks, adding in extra bits was wicked! The techy stuff they played rocked

I have put my photos here on www.grooveinc.org Noice one of wade in there

Posted by pkcRAISTLIN on Oct-18-2004 00:50:

excellent! sounds like they rocked. am really excited for this weekend!

Posted by Chookie on Oct-18-2004 00:56:

OMG was an awesome night! Great to see so many TA's there (up front too)!
I agree that Jumping Jacks set was great, and Cam's sounded like it was going to be great but unfortunately I had to go due to having to work on Sunday

Highlight of the night for me was the dude on the left and his dancing and waving his hands and fingers, it cracked me up, was good to see them getting into it

Posted by SuiCid3 on Oct-18-2004 01:37:

Highlights of my night:
Walking in at around 11ish (?)
5 minutes later, Rank 1 - Symsonic!
Haven't really heard much of NU NRG's stuff, but Free Fall is one I know. That went off!
Voodoo People and Tricky Tricky absolutely went off!
I was in the middle of hanging a leak when Tricky came on, finished off and rushed back my friends to go crazy!
Whenever Tricky Tricky comes on me and my mates always end up finding each other and going off as a group! Love the feeling!!!

And OH MY GOD! Who was there at the end when Chia played Beyond Time?!?!
I couldn't believe it when it came on.. As soon as I heard it I turned to NiNo_LoCo with this fucking huge grin on my face and then went off!

All in all, was an excellent night. Much respect to NU NRG for setting the dance floor alight.
Thanks to Cameron and the RUSH crew for organising a fucking brilliant night!

Your tracklist is wrong

They also played The Mind, somewhere around track 8-9, and you've got Connective/Streets around the wrong way. In fact I think Streets was 2-3 tracks earlier than Connective. The last three were definitely Connective, Freefall and Dreamland, in that order.

//edit .. they also played a remix of Ton TB - Dream Machine, which isn't on your tracklist

Wow looks like a great night!!

Good to see you all had fun.

Well they have been known to fuck up their own tracklists in the past

They mightnt have wanted to tell me anything about the Ton B mix, which could be the second ID

When I get the set I will correct.

Broadcast the full set now
