All the shit about the dancefloor I agree with.

I haven't seen any of the shirtless blokes, and for the most part the guys getting drunk stick near the bar.

But the floor is a mess. People go out there to stand in circles and socialize, stand there and drink, simply stand there, etc. Yeah, I know the house DJ sucks, but when the big guys get there can you take it somewhere else? Pisses me off, because the people that want to dance are constantly getting crowded by these idiots. The ones drinking may be moving, or standing still, but either way it's a dance floor and they usually end up spilling their brew.

People cutting through the dance floor also piss me off. And it's a constant torrent, they never stop. You'd think it was Scavenger Hunt or something, back and forth, back and forth.

I don't know if this only happens here, but apparently glowsticks are just too pricey nowadays, so people are using just about any thing, cheap LED's, pagers, cell phones, to wave around with the lights flashing? It's just not working. If you want to wave light around, and least be real about it.

Something else that annoys me, is when someone comes over with glow sticks (or those stupid led lights) and wants to "do a show" for me, when I'm trying to dance. And when I say I'm not interested, they insist that i'm "really going to love it!!" and get in my face!!!

Cmon, with today's technology? CDs are hardly groundbreaking rocket science or state-of-the-art, they are simply a more convenient, cheaper to produce, simpler way of storing music, and the progress of digital mixers has been all about trying to copy vinyl turntables with extra settings to make it easier to use.

And as far as using laptops goes, I can understand if some kid has developed a new tune and wants to try it out on a captive audience and hasn't the money or similar to have it pressed, but I don't think there is any reason for top djs to cheat in this way. I'd love to see a computer dj have a system crash just before the gig, a lesson learnt in taking the easy wide road to popularity.

You don't need to justify your use of technology to me, or try and tell me that CDs and Musical Software is the new better thing etc etc, because I'm not the only one in this world that aprpeciates a quality DJ that can perform on records under pressure that wheels his record bag into the club.

I'm not a DJ, nor am I trying to "justify" or say that digital technology is any better than anything else. Vinyl purists who keep whining over DJs making use of new technology mediawise just tend to annoy me.

Furthermore, you're not addressing any of my points, so arguing further with you would be quite useless. I could dig up several links to digital decks that give you just as much feel and control over CDs as you would with vinyl and 1210s and other stuff to reinforce my argument further, but since you obviously won't pay any attention to them at all, I won't bother.

post one thing? well i've got more than one thing that gets on my nerves at clubs...and i'm in a bit of a pissy/ranty mood anyway.

1. i totally agree with everyone's complaints about guys who are sweating like a horse and not wearing a shirt. NOBODY....male or female wants to rub up against that shiny sheen of sweat. and not to mention, if they are the type to dance/jump around...the sweat also flings off and lands on ppl nearby. it is more than gross and they should all be shot.

2. i also have to agree with disliking ppl who dun wear deodorant...or even if they do...it has worn off and you are jus lucky to be standing rite next to their arm pit. however, it is a club, and ppl do move around so i guess some BO just can't be helped sometimes.

3. ppl who bring whistles with them to a club and start tweeting on them nonstop and thereby ruining good songs. they should join some sort of nature bird watching/bird chirping event on some isolated island in the middle of nowhere instead.

4. ppl who clap. i absolutely hate that, unless the dj initiates it..but that is rare in most cases. crowd clapping and trance just dun go well together.

4. kids who bring glowstix or lights with them, but have no idea how to use them at all. i have seen some who cannot even move them in time with the music. why illuminate urself even more so that i can see that you can't keep in beat?

5. i dun normally bear a grudge against ppl who don't dance well or dance differently, but i can't stand it when ppl are trying to do stuff like modern, contemporary dancing on the club floor. modern contemp dancing is cool...but does not belong on the dancefloor and looks totally bizarre. it is like all of a sudden seeing ppl do the waltz while vascotia - calibro is being dropped.

6. getting hit on by guys who cannot interpret my cold, unfriendly persona as a hint to NOT talk to me. Failing that, the inability to comprehend the lack of interest on my part after trying to chat me up...even when i have said out right, "well, i don't like you." its not about playing hard to get. i'm really just not interested. now please fook off and let me listen to my music in peace.

7. i hate it when ppl occupy good spots on the dancefloor (ie. where they can see the dj) but who either do not dance, do not know how to dance, do not kno who the dj is, do not kno wut kind of music is being played or all of the above. And yet they continue to just STAND there and prevent others (such as you and i) who are there for the dj, for the music, to dance in a place on the dancefloor where we can see the dj and interact with him/her. they are literally taking up space.

OMG! i HATE it when people bring those stupid whistles to the clubs. i prefer the original remix that the dj is spinning, not the whistled out club mix.. thank you very much. leave the remixing to the producer.

when people go crazy whit house whit fast pich .... and they says that is techno... in my country every edm is techno... to then house,trance, chill don`t exist...ingnorat ppl... and the guy that dance house and techno in the same way.... i hate that shit... everyone that think that the club dj is the best in the planet... and I have better music... that is weird
