i want the cardinals and yankees to make it to the world series...the only other team i respect as much as the yankees are the cardinals...itll be a dynamite series if that comes to fruition...

its pretty funny.

The biggest reason why I hate it (besides the "it's so damn annoying" reason everyone else uses) is because it originally came from Florida State, whose football program I really, really, really, really hate

Thank God the Braves are done. They are so boring, just like their announcers on TBS. A half filled stadium during the playoffs doing the tomahawk chop... how lovely.

Buh bye

Cardinals/Yankees would be clash of the lineups

Pujols/Rolen/Walker/Edmonds
ARod/Sheffield/Jeter/Matsui

Pujols is SCARY!

Houston/New York would be interesting too for Clemens in NYC again and for Carlos Beltran occupying the same spot he'll be trolling in 5 months time on a daily basis.

so help me if that man comes back into yankee stadium ... we'll be ready for him

Posted by Shamez214 on Oct-12-2004 19:25:

Trust me, it won't be happening this year.

I hope Schilling's ankle gets better in time so that he can play at his best, and make this series better for the spectators and more of the kind of contest everyone has been expecting it to be

Hmm... lets see...

2004 - 1918 = 86years.

All "Who's your Daddy?!!?" and "1918" chants aside:

I don't understand why Pedro is pitching tomorrow night in Yankee Stadium, under even more pressure since he said those infamous words. Wakefield should be pitching Game 2 tomorrow since once he gets on a roll with his knuckler, he's really unhittable...especially at Yankee Stadium.

So he can pitch game 6 or 7 if need be...remember he's boston's Ace after Shelling's preformance last night. I think his ANKLE is hurting...Wakefield is extremely effective against the yankees, I dont know why they don't start him more against us??

how his team must feel! i don't know why he would even say that. they musta ripped him a new one. that was just plain foolish! it was like him announcing to the world that he was giving up. i didn't even see the usual hatred and fire in his eyes during the game. only confusion and frustration. maybe it would have worked if he beat them, but he didn't. he shouldn't have said those words.

but on the other hand, i near fell out of my chair from laughing so hard. i never heard a clearer chant from 53000+ people

NLCS game 2...
unbelievable - back-to-back home runs by the Cardinals in the bottom of the 8th!
too bad for the Astros
such a close game, with so many chances to score, and Munro started out really well
turning point was when they couldn't make the double play

Posted by verndogs on Oct-15-2004 03:40:

Poo Holes!

Posted by verndogs on Oct-15-2004 03:50:

looks like the cards are ready to bring their brooms out

The brooms will have to be put away
Excellent performance by Clemens, followed up by Lidge (3 K's in the 9th to end the game!)
and Beltran also - he'll be MVP of the NLCS if the Astros win
Oswalt could help bring the Astros back into the series.

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-18-2004 01:47:

Beltran does it again!
NLCS is 2-2 now.

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-19-2004 03:09:

Not one, but two exciting games today! Dang, can't get no work done!
0-0 in the 9th between Astros and Cards, which is no small feat
(funny how it was the beginning of the 9th when the Yanks-Sox game ended, a game which started 3 hours earlier)
Even more impressive was Backe having a no-hitter into the 6th, and both teams still having a 1-hitter

Posted by Sunshine79 on Oct-19-2004 03:10:

dammit.

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-19-2004 03:25:

3 run home run by Kent in the bottom of the 9th!
Huge blast like Ortiz's
Astros win 3 in a row to take the lead!
Lidge wins the battle of the closers

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-20-2004 23:20:

NLCS Game 6-
Astros tie the game with 2 outs in the 9th!

yup bagwell made them pay for walkin beltran but i would have done the same thing if i was in their shoes also

Posted by partyhopper on Oct-20-2004 23:29:

and Lidge breaks the record for most K's by a reliever in an LCS - 11 in 4 games (6 innings)
with chances for more
